why didn't the dudes escape what was the point in power after the pod left you can obv live and have copies of you at the same time (which is impossible in physics btw = bad sci fi. what wqas he point. goddamit. it had potential.
if theyu crashed, the loop already closed and a new cycle begins. what was the point in ship explosion it defies the logic - a new cycle begins, but now we have an exploded atropa. where are other atropa ships btw shouldnt they have made a big ball of wreck, seeing how many pods formed a RING around a planet btw if they crash, there is an impact, so the ship does move due to internal explosions. and why do they crash nose-to-nose shouldn't it be more like catching up they should face the same direction, both atropas.
kinda plotholey to be fair. hire a writer, i guess

great film and food for my brain!
the whole thing is impossible, cause if someone or something from the future interacts directly with someone or something from the past, everything changes immediately, the whole world will collapse, it's like a short circuit. but that's just a think game, nobody knows for sure, haha: )
so. what is shown in the movie, COULD happen or not.
but what about the orbit circle of escape pods around that planet a moment I thought, this planet could be magical and pulled other ships in his trap before.
by the way - THAT view, when the camera zooms out and you see thousands of escape pods. that was so frightening and epic!

This whole series was fantastic, I loved it. I'm left with the question though, did they really leave the guy in the escape pod to die out there He said they had enough oxygen and supplies for a week. So with the time it took to complete a loop, there could be 16 or so escape pods with him still alive. Leaving the rest of them out of it, they could have at least saved the last guy who has only been out there for an hour or so, just watching them break the loop and fly away.

Rewatching this, I had no idea how different Sanders saying We missed my birthday in episode one would hit once I knew what was going to happen. It's such a perfect introduction to his character. He's not the most serious or confident member of the crew, but his attempt to lighten the mood really shows that he cares while also showing him as a little more immature than the rest of the characters. Sheer perfection.

I enjoyed it; however, where did all the debris from the ships that kept exploding go because the escape pods were clustering around the planet Also, did they leave that guy in the escape pod to die along with others who would have lived for weeks, seeing that their time loop wasn't that long
reply

It was an excellent plot and execution. Reminded me a bit of the Cause and Effect.
Looking forward to seeing more from this team. Thumbs up.
BTW. What would have happened if they had self-destructed the damaged version _before_ the collision Would that also have ended the cycle

reply

Really enjoyed this series.
One thing though - the escape pods could keep you alive for weeks.
Did they just fly off at the end and leave that one dude in the escape pod orbiting the planet to die slowly over the next couple of months
Ruthless.

This is my third time watching it. I love every second of it. The only thing that bothers me at the end is that there's no single thought of help to the thousands of Jensen(s) trapped in the ring that are still alive with the life support of the pod.

It's really rare to see a time paradox movie works, and this is one worked. With that said, I wish instead of just turning the ship around, she should have rescue the one crewman who was still alive in his pod that is stuck in the ring of pods.

I truly enjoy the concept the duality of time line/ not one realities but many/ the understanding of Newton 3rd law of motion / the light within ourselves and the implosion of atoms within our finite self. keep the flow London UK 393

WOW. I am blown away. I could see so many scenes that reminded me of many sci-fi series and movies, but this has shown how they all should have been. I loved the rings of the planet- could have imagined that in a Dr Who episode

The time loop is the immensely powerful xenophobic race on the planet protects them selves. They don't even have to contact the other species. No weapons or warships needed. Just time loop them and they destroy themselves.
reply

Very well done. In this age of information overload, short attention spans and plot twists of all kinds thrown at you, ATROPA still had me hooked all the way and made me want to see more. Exceptional work.
reply

Incredible series on every level. Great casting, acting (except when she cries, sets, writing, lighting, music, special EFX/CGI and apparently Directing. completely pro production design.
reply

so uh. she not gonna tell him about the other, most recent escape pod that's stuck on the ring That most recent dude could still be alive. Can probably just swing by real quick and pick him up
reply

wait, the atropa got destroyed but the protagonists are safe what about the others its the end of them just hit the past version of themselves and thats it, thats the close of the loop
reply

It's just funny to imagine the cycle ended with two ships plowing up together yet millions of Jensen were still at that ring(no offend, I do feel sorry for him at the same time)
reply

dammit, I wanna know what's on that planet. thousands of groups of crew from the ships maybe gonna get bit too much rick and morty in it. could be interesting anyway
reply

Maybe it was just a matter of time. All our different fates played out until this one occured. That is the single greatest line in a scifi movie involving time paradox.
reply

Seen this while it was being released ep by ep and back again, what an absolute masterpiece! You guys did a stunning job on this one. Thank you heaps!
reply

The wildest thing to me after seein this is thinkin she's gon have an actual real memory that includes him that he'll NEVER have himself!
reply

Didnt they just leave they guy who left in the first escape pod to die in space alone Seems a little harsh if you ask me.

Our family now accepts Jensens as the scientific unit of deja vu. As in whoa, deja Vu How bad Pretty bad, maybe a kilojensen
reply

Wonderful piece of work. I found it quite scary in parts. Despite being a science fiction afficionado of over 60 years.
reply

Imagine if the final pod drifted until it smacked into Atropa causing the damage and just starts all over again
reply

Loved it, couldn't stop watching till the final episode. I was better than a lot of the movies at the theatre now!
reply

Brilliant
Expected the final shot of the planet ring to dissipate proving the cycle was truly broken

reply

Excellent! That final scene when the ship explodes is riveting. What score is played Sounds like some song.
reply

Hold on! That new Atropa ran into the old Atropa! And the front was undamaged on the old. Continuity folks.
reply

Excellent series. Much better than rubbish tv movies. Definitely well thought through storyline.
reply

Just WOW! Amazing story and production. Please never quit what you all do. Absolutely awesome
reply

Great series. So how did they break the cycles in the end as it gets blown up anyway each cycle
reply

Why would you want anyone as mental unstable as Sanders on the ship as a mech engineer lol.
reply

I amazed when Cole realized that he was come not to meet his wife, but to let his wife go
reply

That escape pod drifting into the rest moment did it for me. This was captivating! Thank you!
