With the release of Halo Infinite, it is time for the Evolution of Halo! Halo 3 is a 2007 first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie for the Xbox 360 console. The third installment in the Halo franchise, the game concludes the story arc begun in 2001s Halo: Combat Evolved and continued in 2004s Halo 2. Halo 3s story centers on the interstellar war between twenty-sixth century humanity, a collection of alien races known as the Covenant, and the alien parasite Flood. The player assumes the role of the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier, as he battles the Covenant and the Flood. The game features vehicles, weapons, and gameplay elements not present in previous titles of the series, as well as the addition of saved gameplay films, file sharing, and the Forge map editor-a utility which allows the player to perform modifications to multiplayer levels.
Bungie began developing Halo 3 shortly after Halo 2 shipped. The game was officially announced at E3 2006, and its release was preceded by a multiplayer beta open to select players who purchased the Xbox 360 game Crackdown. Microsoft spent $40 million on marketing the game, in an effort to sell more game consoles and broaden the appeal of the game beyond the established Halo fanbase. Marketing included cross-promotions and an alternate reality game. The game was released in September 2007.
Halo 3 grossed US$170 million on its first day of release, and $300 million in its first week. To date, Halo 3 has sold in excess of 14. 5 million copies. The game was also the best-selling video game of 2007 in the U. S. More than one million people played Halo 3 on Xbox Live in the first twenty hours. Overall, the game was very well received by critics, with the Forge and multiplayer offerings singled out as strong features; however, some reviewers criticized single-player aspects, especially the plot and campaign layout. Halo 3 is frequently listed as one of the greatest video games of all time. A prequel to the game, Halo 3: ODST, was released worldwide in September 2009. A sequel, Halo 4, released in November 2012, was developed by new studio 343 Industries. Halo 3 was re-released as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One in November 2014 and for Microsoft Windows in July 2020.\r\n

Halo is not relevant 20 years after the first game. It started to become irrelevant back in 2012 when halo 4 released.
It was not the game most halo fans wanted. Not only that it introduced a new artstyle that no one wanted.
Then halo 5 came, without splitscreen and a horrible campaign with horrible writing.
Oh yeah halo 5 splitscreen was promised by 343,
a promise they broke.
The same goes for halo infinite when they cancelled splitscreen for that game aswell.
The multiplayer was fine, it was somewhat fun compared to the halo 5 campaign!
Halo infinite was a third failure in a row for 343. They ruined halo, maybe halo should have just ended with halo reach.
Hopefully now with major changes within 343 industries, we might get a decent game if
the next title ever releases!

Recently my friend and I got fed up with how much money we were dropping to go and hangout. It-s insane how much dinner and bowling costs. We only go out once a week, but last week I was like -Yo how about we just hang at my place and run some halo co-op. - It felt like rediscovering some old treasure. We sat there with halo CE and a bag of Doritos having some of the best fun we-ve had in years.

I don't want to sound petty, but a few facts are unfortunately wrong.
for example: Halo 5 was released in october 2015 not 2014, armor abilities were introduced in Halo 3 not Reach.
It would be nice if you could research it a bit better if you make fact strong videos
Other than that great video, love the artstyle and the length.

My favourite game is Halo 4 and I like the part when Master Chief takes down the Didact boss, also I like Halo 3 because I like the part when Master Chief and Arbiter track down the prophet of Truth on the covenant mission.

All of that Halo CE footage really brings me back to being 5 years old and playing it on my XBOX for the first time, I'd play the same level over and over again just to be able to drive a car and I never got bored.

halo 3 odst is a masterpiece instead of having the power being chief gave you, you are just a common soldier alone in a city no ai, no backup, just you and a gun trying to find out what happened to your crew

You were wrong halo infinite was really the start of a new trilogy it didn't end the reclaimer story it just said they took out cortan it completely skipped 6 and jumped to the bruts taking over the covenant
