What made bioshock great?

People love to slam the hacking but it's consistently challenging and engaging requiring you to use tonics to even hack basic vending machines in the late game and the consequences can be Dreadful. Or you can just go without and destroy the machines with armor piercing bullets

Nothing. I got it bc of the huge fan base calling it a masterpiece and it-s shit. It-s maps are awful to traverse. It-s combat sucks. So far it-s story is awful and the dialogue is all over the place and poorly conveyed.
Loot is garbage and you-re constantly running out of ammo bc it keeps throwing enemies at you and the plasmids suck

This game really changed my view of what games can be back when it came out. The twist truly shocked me and drove my teenage mind to question life itself. It made me question mainly religion and the social/political views I inherited. Just an amazing work of interactive art.

I was so hypnotized by this game, I got a tattoo dedicated to it. My 1st gaming love. And it seems to have had the same effect as relationship tattoos. When I bought the remastered version, it constantly glitches and errors. Made my love for the game so sad.

it makes me so sad the generations before millenials will refuse to see games as an art form and with games like bioshock they also wont see the beauty, the meaning and the fantastic ways its presented to you over time.

Remember 1rst time playing, as a brazillian I didnt understand the plot at the time but I Enjoyed the atmosphere, powers (plasmids) and the terror beggining.
