Some games drastically change AFTER you beat it for the first time. Here are some games worth replaying. intalek305: The game that maybe changes more than all of these that should be on this list is Final Fantasy Type-0. You beat the game, you get new cutscenes that drastically flesh out more of the story in things that were happening you never knew about while you were on your first play through, much like Nier Automata. You get a ton of new secret locations to go to. You get new weapons and a ton of new missions. You even get a new ending.
Then you play it again. You realize the first play through was just the soldiers story, the second play through is more of what is happening on a high ranking officer and political level. The third play through you get the story on a political and world changing level and you finally find out about all this stuff that was happening affecting events in the first two playthroughs you never realized. All of these come with different endings, and they can very depending on your actions.
Final Fantasy Type-0 probably changes more after you beat the game than any game on this list. It is the definition of what it means to play a totally different game, in the same game, after you beat the game. Hell, it's fair to say unless you have beaten it 3 times, you haven't really beaten it. Multiple playthroughs are also canon to the story.

8. No. Game sucks. Highly overrated. Rogue-likes suck. All of them.
7. Good game but not as enjoyable as Asylum. After playing it through once I became done with the game.
6. Blundertale. No. This game doesn't even warrant a first play through. Trash.
5. Dork Souls 2. Huge no. None of these abysmal Souls genre games deserve even a first play through. Complete garbage, the whole genre.
4. Not Resident Evil 2 and 3. These games are Resident Evil 2 and 2. 5. Code Veronica is the real Resident Evil 3. Also, after that, the games became mediocre action fests with lame stories and bland characters.
3. I wanted to like this game but being thrown into a boss fight right at the beginning is among the dumbest things ever.
2. Another example of the atrocious Souls genre. As before, with #5, not even a first play through of this game should be done.
1. I'm waiting to play Replicant before I play Automata. Back on 360 I did play Nier (the old guy version) and wasn't impressed. Additionally, hopefully there's mods to give some of those female characters more clothing.
Bonus: Ugh. More asinine Souls genre games? Why do people have such an irrational fascination with these games? Are they masochists?

It's an indie game but the story revolves around a group of people stuck in a moment of time that's frozen.
Later we realize that everyone bis actually in a time loop and we need to break it.
But the thing is, every new playthrough is seen as another reset of the time loop. The MC remembers everything that happened in the last loop, events happen in ways that it didn't in the previous loops, the antagonist remembers the last loop and comments about it.
It's a fascinating story and it's one you need to play at the very least twice to really understand what's going on.
It's one of my fav indie games and I can't wait for the sequel

Gonna queue this up for later. Is Dragon's Dogma on here? I can understand if it's not, because the amount of time you may spend in the true end game world is likely very short, but the actual whole world, enemy type/enemy spawns and difficulty changes, aswell as the main hub. You can't even go into the main hub where you've traded and gotten to know everyone either because they're all hostile.
You really have to slow yourself down and not rush through the quest and repairing the world to see it all.

As a NieR fan I had to make sure it was on this list. It's a game you kind of have to do new game+ IMO. And I didn't mind it because it doesn't just carry over items, levels, weapons but also the side quests you have already done. Also worth mentioning is that in Automita after one of the best endings you can delete your save to help people struggling to get to that ending. It's kind of beautiful how many people do that.

The Re2 remake extras didnt hold a candle to the original. The tyrant/mr. x was in all scenarios, no new sections of the lab, no new cutscenes, no legit alternate routes, and no zapping systwm. 3 had fewer locations, fewer bosses, and no decision sections
It and the Re3 remake were visual spectacles, but neither had a fraction of new game plus content to their respective originals
boooo!

I do wish NG+/Hard Mode/etc. in games did have more options though. Like using items in FF7R Hard Mode should be something you can enable. Same for Arkham. You spend potentially dozens of hours, fight literally hundreds of enemies, and the game goes out of it's way to drill it into you to watch the counter-indicator. Then suddenly lol, should have been watching attack animations, get rekt idiot!

games like devil may cry or the wonderful 101 also do the thing that is so great about sekiro where the first run feels kinda like a tutorial and once you got a good grasp on the mechanics and enemies of the game it is super fun to go through it again with remixed enemy waves and your improved skills as a player.

Yeah God of war is so good and made so well, it's the only game out of probably like a hundred that my PS4 won't even play. And I've been over everything they even sent me a digital code for free to try it. It loads the splash screen and then just stays black it doesn't even get to the menu.

FF7R's battle system is great. But the aggro system is just dumb. A character that gets aggro'ed loses it almost instantly the moment you switch characters and gets transferred to the latter INSTANTLY more often than not especially with bosses. it tosses being strategic out the window.
