Why does rockstar treat pc releases differently?

For Rockstar Games, PC releases have always come later to varying degress. Why is this? Let's speculate CroNick: Been waiting and will continue to do so. PC is always way better. Out of all the developers out there, I would have to say that EA is the worst for micro transactions and shafting their customer base. At least Rockstar is up front about it and puts out quality product. If the gaming industry was fair and equal, we would be playing on the ps6 and every game would drop in working order on every system.

They say when they realease game for PC they will have their product being cracked and downloaded everytime.
But the fact is when they realease a PC version of a game it is protected against piracy and activations.
And if by any chance you can make your game work (activated or not) you will need be a very patient player!
The question i do is Why Rockstar still releases games for PC?

It-s simple. If pc players want to play it, the QUIT STEALING! Most PC players now literally are so deluded, they think stealing isn-t BAD. Seriously everyone this is common sense. I-ll tell u If you didn-t know, that STEALING/PIRACY is BAD and illegal. It is no different from ROBING food or money from a family just trying to survive.

PC is not -superior-, Falcon. Keep telling yourself that, though. -Master Race- is just a bunch of entitled babies. -How dare you not create your game for me and my exclusive community, to tear apart down to the last line of code!- That's you. That's what you sound like.
Other than that, I'm a fan of your work.

I think I know why. I have a feeling why Rockstar is hesitant on porting their games to PC is because of the Hot Coffee mod fiasco. It cost them big in money. $20 million dollars to be exact. That is most likely why the PC versions are almost impossible to mod now a days.

These games are originally developed on a PC and dumbed down for consoles. The PC release is just a mild version of what the final product looked like before console release. The majority of the gaming market plays on consoles, so yeah, it's about the money.

Here from the future, the pc release of RD2 was a complete shitshow and some people who bought the game day one couldn't even get the shitty dumpster fire called -Rockstar launcher- to launch without immediately crashing.

When there is a NEW DISEASE, eventually there comes cure.
Rockstar will not be able to maintain this kind of behavior for PC releases,
Because GAMERS are becoming aware of it!

I'm curious as to how laborious it is to have a game designed for consoles and then port them to pc? Surely they shouldn't have to re-make the game from the ground up?

To add to all other great reasons I read in the comments here PC also is more complex and includes more options so needs more tinkering and polish.
