Activision is parting ways with Bungie and giving them full control of Destiny in the process. What does this mean for the future of the famous developer and Destiny fans? Let's talk

Bungie leaving Activision doesn-t necessarily meaning anything yet. We won-t see if this was good or bad until we see what Bungie does. I think we will be surprised to see that Bungie had more input then what was believed. The whole Eververse feels more like Bungie to me. No one seems to remember the money spent to make the original, which was $500 mil. That was before marketing. I-m sure the second game was cheaper considering things were already in place. Activision giving Bungie the Destiny franchise to means the series isn-t a great money wise. Game wise.
Bungie won-t survive with its hardcore audience. When I say hardcore I mean the ones who play day in and day out, does raids with all 3 characters, buys the latest content, and etc. Hardcore doesn-t mean the biggest group. To me the ones that keep Destiny alive are players like me, ones who play just as much but don-t get to do things like raids or run 3 characters on everything. The hardcore has dwindled big time. Forsaken was the best content for Destiny period and it sold poorly. The latest content release was awful in how it was done.
Btw Luke Smith saying he isn-t disappointed and they make Destiny for the fans mean shit to me. This is the same ass clown who gave us shit about the D1 TTK collection. So anything he says doesn-t mean shit.
Remember this a year from now when Destiny 3 is coming and nothing has changed. Bungie won-t have Activision backing and the 100 mil they got from net ease isn-t nothing in AAA gaming these days. Especially what has gone into this franchise already. Anyone remember the place that was built I think it was called the command center. Where all the servers were. Yea they will need money to keep that up and running.

I can do with buying DLCs as long as they-re quality and game changing and provide more to the game I really had to jump off and stop sinking in money into destiny as soon as annual pass came to be I really love destiny one of the few games I-ve sunk many hours into since day one but it just got expensive to play I felt like I was starting to pay a for a subscription for a game I already bought :/ hopefully I can find my way back to what I think is one of the best games I-ve played in a while I really hope Bungie finds success in leaving a toxic relation with a greedy company

Netease provides online services centered on content, community, communication and commernce. They provide some services for a bunch of big titles: Diablo 2, WoW, Overwatch (China), just to name a few. Not mentioning, other titles in Asia. They have a branch in the US which opened in 2014 and they also have a funding initiative for independent developers. Hmm... So I believe, it's safe to say Bungie is going to make a game they want. Without having some bigger brother twisting their arm. WAY TO GO BUNGIE!

Lol yeah bungie have doubled down on the dirty tactics went from having one raid per season with forsaken, now to get one raid per year and if your lucky an old D1 raid while we removed the 5 raids that ppl used to love, leaving us with last wish and garden of salvation - without Activision bungie would have never succeeded with destiny, they already lost nearly the entire fanbase that followed them from halo -

Good content but the game is so broken an its too much money to put into a game that makes you angry whilst play.. Example; (Competitive) why would you make a game mode that would make you want to quit the game even more.. The put 2 of the hand cannons in tje game at tye same exact game mode that extremely hard to get? Its a good thing that the put it free for membership as a demo to see how sucky it is!!!!!!!

Originally i was a huge fan of destiny 1 but afther buying the game and all the dlc's bungie did the same thing with destiny 2 and i realised that its not worth buying the game and all the dlc's the content just isen't good enough, theres plenty of cheaper games that have better content then destiny 2 so i just wish you dident have to pay for like 5 dlc's every time bungie makes a destiny game....

Destiny 2 works PERFECTLY on the F2P model they've set up. I would never have thought to buy Destiny 2, but now I'm spending real world money aquiring expansion packs, season passes, and special gear from the store. Destiny 2 is already a full experience for free, but for whatever reason the good will of Bungie actually has me paying more than retail.

I loved Destiny especially the Taken King dlc but Destiny 2 just didn't feel the same when i got the base game for free but now that Activision is out of the picture Bungie has no excuses now. This is their last chance to redeem themselves and gain my trust back. If Destiny 3 will be as bad as Destiny 2 i'm out and will never buy their games again.

And on the topic of microtransactions when bungie sunset all your armour and then promise to offer ornaments to change your style but only give you a limited amount and not be able to get all your armour, but if you want to buy it for money it's there go for it, bungie was the problem not Activision
reply

If anything NetEase is a company thats been known in China for making horrible microtransaction and pay to win games. To add more content the guys behind Diablo immortal. Really hope they dont mess Bungie up.
