Lucky enough to have an old Nintendo, Sony, Atari, etc. console lying around? Here are some good use cases SokMunky: It is smart to keep all your old consoles. Eventually you won't own any of the games you play. They will all require a connection. At least with these old consoles you do not need the Internet to play anything. The OG Xbox is one of the best systems to mod. If you care anything about retro emulation and homebrew you can not beat the OG xbox. Most of the emulators are highly optimized. The OG xbox still does MAME and FBA better than any ARM system out there. Not to mention The PS3 and Xbox 360 all have a form of a hypervisor which makes accessing the hardware very difficult. Even a modded PS3 can't do N64 but the old Xbox can. Either way keep your systems. They are slowly going up in value.

I own a Xbox One S, which I custom painted, since I don't plan on throwing it out. Because I just wish to put it in the attic and after years when I move out or clean the house, just find it. Then have some memories of it, and perhaps turn it on and play some of the digitally downloaded games.

Go to your local goodwill, offer to buy ALL of their -Videogame/media trash- if you get someone who will work with you they will set aside all games deemed -trash- and let it together for a single price. I did this and scored some good finds so far and will continue to so so.

I'll be honest, I have never ever had or have owned any consoles, even up to this day. The only thing I have going for me are my phones which I don't know if they count as a console, and my computers/laptop. The only console I have ever seen that other people have are PS4s.

So, I've got three xbox 360s. Two are gutted beyond repair, but, I keep them because I have emotional value for them. I call the 3rd one my -Franken-Console- because I rebuilt it using the other two consoles. I now have an xbox 360 s and an xbox one s

A bit late to the conversation... but, if you are looking for a place to donate an older console to. Consider a retirement home. After all some of us gamers are starting to hit that age.

Honestly, I'm keeping my consoles for if I have kids so I'll have something to share with them and bond over potentially, assuming they end up being open to it.

never and I mean NEVER sell old consoles, those things are part of your life dude. You can always go back to the old games you played as a kid for fun.

I still use my 360 I was actually playing it while watching this it-s either going in the grave with me or passed onto my kids
