Some of their decisions were horrible, however, some of the things that happened in the original weren't good either. I would say they're both masterpieces. The remake doesn't match the original, though, but it didn't stop me from getting chills when seeing stuff that was remade from my childhood, which was basically what my brain saw when I was a child. It was so good to play, I am just going through it for the second time, with PS5 graphics (does look awesome and will be doing the Yuffie DLC soon too) and if you're apprehensive about playing it, in case it will ruin your childhood, then don't worry. I played the original like 14 times and fully completed about 2 times, so trust me when I say I am a super fan, and I loved it in its own right, and that's the best way to play it.

Fun fact for me: I purchased the original FF7 at or near launch when it released in the 90s before I had a Playstation to play it on (I ended up borrowing a friend's semi broken playstation and used that until I got my own)! I missed out on the remake because I didn't have a ps4, but I purchased FF7 Remake right after ordering a PS5, even though the system wouldn't ship for another 3 weeks. Hahaha

I am new to FF games and loved this game, it wasn't so bad getting a 1st play-through but I missed a lot! I remember the theme and victory blaring from my brother room in 97-98. hearing Barret chant it is timeless to me

the tumbarries ARE there... if u fight the Don-s house in the arena in the hard difficulty you fight them there... I literally just stopped playing the game a few minutes ago due to them killing me consequently

Also the hair tonic reference is a parody of a direct quote from Barrett said multiple times throughout FF7, he calls cloud a -spiky haired bastard- or other expletive depending on the version

Tifa's room I found a poster of -Air Music Gallery- and reminded me Yuna FFX and X2. Because of the color similar to her dress.
If it is a Eastereggs look cool frl.

1:23 I have a theroy he mispronounced mako cuz the English dub has the president say it incorrectly like Falcon did. It's pronounced like mock-co not may-co.

very nice game and graphics and character design. hope people don't ruin the mod, that turned character into monsters or something weirdo, that is just not right.

Barrett singing is actually what it's supposed to be. It sounds like a tough guy sorta singing a tune. Him singing in a beautiful falsetto would have been weird

Barret sings i think about 3 times total, which is actually quite good considering the entire game consists of about 12 total engagements with enemies.
