Some video games really kick off with a bang. Here are some of favorite crazy openings and starting twists in video games Sarah: The Tomb raider games for ps4 had a lot of the - shimmy across a tight ledge- hidden loading screens but the knee deep sticky mud ( can't remember which one of them) that took absolutely forever to walk as she slogged thru it. I would have rather watched a loading screen than go through that again. I don't know why it bothered me so much but it was the worst.
The forced slow walk through an open and clear area, usually a hallway or tunnel . All I can think about it trying not to yell at my TV. - it's clear.... It's safe... Run Forrest run... For the love of God just make it a cut scene so I can snack instead of being forced to keep a hand on the controller to have you move at a snails pace! -
God of war PS4 had a lot of the shimmy thru a tight crack /small ledge.
It absolutely amazes me exactly how much we are guided and influenced without our knowledge.
The lighting guiding to the exit of a level trick has helped me a lot more since I know about them now. If it's a game that has a lot of exploration and hidden items I'll go through opposite way. It's helped not having to back track or miss items if I end up going too far away and can't go back.

Unpopular opinion, but don't sleep on Fallout 3.
Yea, watching your -Dad- helping you throughout the tutorial ain't seem to be cool, but don't forget where the Fallout series comes from: a bird view, round based RPG in F1 & F2, and now all of a sudden it's in 3D!
How cool is that?!
Okay, Bethesda ruined the series from that point, but that's stuff for another Video. Anyways, for Fallout Fans that introduction was pretty nice and mindblowing.

While it is very long, jedi fallen order, it is one of those starts where it is just 'everyday life' but then you are fighting your way through stormtroopers on a moving train, while being hunted by inquisitors, finally going toe to toe with one only to run away, it is so chaotic and a little overwhelming but it was very memreble to say the least.

I remember when I first played Uncharted 2 Among Thieves. It was my first Uncharted game and i was in shock to see a game start like that.Nathan Drake clinging to his life and climbing out of a detailed train is in my opinion the best opening to a game,to the point that Uncharted is my favourite video game series

I think the opening level of the original Half-Life deserve to be on here, it's old and probably not that mind-blowing by the current day standard, but at the time it was just incredible, no other game had that kind of first person interactivity and storytelling before.

In Nier Replicant you are not the same person 1412 years later. The brother and sister are similar....play it again and see who the boss is at the very end. If I need to explain it then you really didn't play it. And pay attention to the books and which books they are.

I liked this one a lot! If you guys haven't already would you be interested in making a top 10 (or whatever lol) under-rated games? And have one of them be the first Drakengard game. It's a PS2 game, and if you haven't heard or played it, check it out -

Prey was just about perfect . Lol it's better then metal gear . Which is pretty easy to do . But prey is great
It has soooo many thing going for u . The only thing the holds it back was some bugs . But besides that it should be a bigger known game

I remember not being interested in prey, still I decided to check the demo and was so amazed by the opening twist that I immediately preordered the game. To this day Prey is one of my all time favorite videogames
