10 Times Video Games LIED TO YOUR FACE Steel: Right now I can think of one quest that lied to me. The tenpenny tower ghoul quest in Fallout 3. I didn t expect Roy Phillips to murder every single person in Tenpenny Tower. I was really bummed out when Dashwood got killed. I didn t like the conclusion but it does give a valuable lesson. You can t trust everyone, certain things are beyond your control, and the capital wasteland is very cruel.

Just remembered a sidequest you can find in the bazaar in Dying Light 2. SPOILERS:
There's a ginger kid (teenager most likely) you can talk to who says he's looking for people who are new in town, and he's got a job for new people. It all winds up being a ploy to lure victims who won't be missed around town, specifically because they're new and not well know to the community.
The quest ends with the kid acknowledging what he'd done, and ending his own life because he felt such extreme guilt. It's not what you thought you were getting yourself into when you chose to talk to the kid, and changes how likely you are to put your trust in every Tom, Dick And Harry you might run into during your playthrough.

That was kinda rude what was said about Knoxville. Screw the video. He's a LOT BETTER than just some jerk messing with people.
Not to mention, I highly doubt you've met the guy. Nor would you say that to his face. So why even make the weak case for a joke? Lol oh wait, because we're on the internet, so it's okay because you're protected from whatever repercussions right.

I think one side quest that should be mentioned, is The Legend Of The Star from fallout new vegas, in a sense, you were lied to, because after getting 100 sunset sarsaparilla bottle caps, all you get was a story about how it came to be.
And pew pew too

I am so curious as to what the end result of getting those statues is going to be. being a time traveler would mean there was a reason he wanted to get those statues to himself prior to him reaching adulthood. they have to be significant in the future.

When quest like these come to mind I can mostly think about the Witcher 3. Almost everyone is tryna deceive or Rob you. You get sent to kill a spirit and in the end those that sent you kills children, ya know almost like this.

I don't know about buck being a liar he never lies to you about keith he just has control over you cause he can kill keith at any time and you don't know where he is so you are forced to follow his dangerous demands.

The Peralez one from Cyberpunk 2077 was seriously cruel, but I suppose it doesn't exactly qualify, because the cruelty was not from the person that lied. That person was just trying to protect the family.

Kinda disappointed you ended this video with fable. That one was always so obvious even as child when I played that. I never finished that mission I just killed the guy asking me to all that stuff.

I dunno if I d call Geology for Beginners a cruel quest, because you do get a nice reward at the end of it. Sure it s not a heap of cash like you re promised but still a good item.

I feel it is more cruel what Tales of Berseria does in the starting moments than the number 8 spot in the list but since it's main story instead of the side quest, it's a great entry!

The Murderlin's Temple quests of Borderlands 2, imagine a normal wave of enemies in a arena full of falling traps insta kill, walls, and elemental tricks

My actual IRL Side Quest is ' i watch GAMERANX everytime they upload'. And i complete it 100%. I hope they patch it soon so i can do my side quest again tomorrow.

I love Patches. when he kicked me off that cliff I laughed so hard and when I summoned him and he bailed on Radahn I laughed even more then cursed him

3: 59 - Now? Mass murderer now! If that's the first instance of massacring an entire town/village in someone's playthrough I'll be shocked lmao
