Dead space remake - before you buy

Is this more like Resident Evil 1 Remake Gamecube or Resident Evil 2 Re-Imagined.
How you described it, sounds like it is RE1 where it is just expanded on the original with tweaks to the gameplay. I was worried it was going to be closer to Loosely based on the original like RE2.
My biggest gripe with the original was that IC would just be a lump on a log when something happened, never have been a fan of silent protagonist.

I feel like EA could really do something bold here and remake Dead Space 2 next, but instead of remaking Dead Space 3 in the sense of recreating the same game; rather, I think it would be awesome if they just allowed this studio to just redo Dead Space 3 as a renewed game and recreate the game so that snow can still be part of it, but not the concentration/focal point because it really was what made the game bland and boring. But if they could pull off a good remake of Dead Space 2, I would prefer them to do something more bold for a game that it's first 2 games are massive classics, and it's 3rd game is long forgotten with reason. I think it could be a bold move for the industry as a whole too imo to give people the ability to retell stories people want to be told, but may not have been executed in the best way.

I effing love this game! I am not a gamer who plays these types of games twice through (unless there's a game+ mode or Witcher3) but I've played dead space multiple times. I love it! I will probably wait for a sale to play the remake. The original was so good. It will take some willpower to wait for the price to come down. I'm currently building a pc to complete my transcendental rise to God teir pc status. It's an awkward transition.

I played through the original Dead Space and only vaguely remember specific story/gameplay details, but I remember being really impressed with it at the time and having a blast dismembering and curb stomping aliens. Personally, I'm most likely going to wait for the remake to go on sale before I pick it up, but if this is going to be your first Dead Space experience I could see it being worth the launch price. Great game.

As this remake takes some elements from two (the original two) spices them up a bit and put in here, I am kinda wondering what they COULD do with Dead Space 2! But if any of the Dead Space games deserves a going over in the light of this remake, it has to be Dead Space 3 and the fixes required to make that what it should have been, a fitting finale to the Dead Space story of Isaac Clark

Yo! I'm a newer watcher, probably been watching this series for about 6 weeks or so. I gotta say, I love your content. I disagree with SOME of it but that's just part of the game (Pun intended, see what I did there? ) but mostly spot on reviews. Keep up the good work and thank you for making these videos! CANNOT wait to see one for R. E. 4 remake and Tears of the Kingdom!

The zero-g sections in the original damn near game me motion sickness at times. So glad to see they fixed that with the jetpack and 360 degree movement. Also, I heard the gawdawful turret sections have been revamped to be. not so gawdawful. I'll bet Falcon is over the moon with that change. Many a gameranx top 10 list mentioned that section and never in a positive way.

After the success of Jedi: Fallen Order and hopefully Dead Space remake, will EA get the memo that it's worth investing into single player games without microtransactions poisoning the experience? Eh, probably not. They're the worst company currently in the gaming industry, so I'm not holding my breath.

I've always wanted to play Dead Space but didn't want to play the old one since I'm so used to newer graphics in general now. I may get the Remake though if it's as good as the praise it gets then I'll definitely buy it. Also one question will it be available for Ps4?

This is the Calisto Protocol we needed. Everyone's saying this game is great (except for that guy crying that Kendra's boobs are smaller and that makes her ugly which means the gameplay is bad) This game didn't need a remake, but the fact it's good is fantastic.

I was a fan of the original one. There was a section where you have to shoot those asteroids, if it is, is it still as frustrating as the original?
Seriously that was the only part I hate about the game, it was the most frustrating for me.

Must buy after this review. Jake seems truly excited for this in a way that he normally isn t. and his normal reviews are always great. Buying now - hopefully it runs well on Xbox as I think I want to chill on my couch and play this one.
