Hogwarts Legacy - Before You Buy Wolfarior: Thank you, you actually helped me in deciding. I was really on edge, but ultimately, I guess I will have to skip this one.
Wasn't following news on this game, but hoped it would be kinda sandbox RPG with choosing your house, wand and such. Sadly, visually/gameplay wise it reminds me of Dragon Age Inquisition with colored loot and fighting etc. And If the rpg choices are really only limited to talents and possibly a few dialog choices, I don't think it's something I feel like playing right now.
Maybe later I give it a try, just not right now. Hope the game does well though.

How very exciting is this!
This game is going to be huge, I am sure about it!
The studio's haven't been hyping this game much, but the fans have. Normally it's the other way 'round.
The game already seems so good, with some details missing maybe. But I am sure, that as we go on, they will be adding stuff.
This seems to be one of those games we'll still be talking about in 10 years and possibly still be enjoying, very much like The Witcher 3 had blown us way all those years back.

As someone who wasn't really keen to buy this game upon release, I'm just now more excited to jump into a new open world game that has familiar aspects and fills that nostalgia itch! Game actually looks really good too and although I think that most big games like this should be expected to not be perfect upon release, I'm genuinely surprised by the positive reception (considering how big games are being released nowadays. thanks for the vid guys!

I used to be a massive Harry Potter fan but kinda grew over my obsession, this might be the thing that will pull me back to the series, looks and feels amazing and nostalgic as well.
When I was a kid I always dreamt of how it'd be to be a part of such an amazing world and now as an adult it makes me really happy that we finally have a good Harry Potter game for everyone to enjoy and to bring in new fans of the franchise too.

I have mine preordered, and so can't wait for it. When I was a little girl, reading the books, and watching the movies. I played the old playstation ones, and loved them for how bad they were. I dreamed of a game of this, and always wanted to become a hogwarts student. Only took 20 some years for it to happen but I can't wait.

I would like to have fights with dark arts leaders such as voldemort, and experience moments in the story, as well as meet characters from the original series. The atmosphere looks a little bland imo, in terms of population there is not enough students as there was in the movies, and the combat should be more hands on imo.

Too bad they didnt do a fallout 3 kind of a thing with you starting as a first year and you just skip through some if it through dialogue choices and snippets through your life while giving a tutorial. Seems like that would have been the funner option but I guess school transfer is a fine way to do it as well.

As you said towards the end of the review. I am an older dude getting back into the HP world and am really jazzed. Been waiting for this type of HP game for, well. ever. haha. I am just waiting for the early-access lock to get lifted so I can jump on in tomorrow. Great unbiased review from Jake as always.

I do remember first hearing about it. I. Any wait to play it Friday night after work. I normally wait for a sale to buy new games since I have a large backlog. I can t wait for this game. I grew up reading the books and I ve been waiting to play this game since I first read the rumors.

Not a HP fan, watched the movies and thought they were OK and have never read the books but this game looks interesting. But this game looks good enough to play with my 6 year old in a control swap manner.
Also I'm on a last gen PS so this game might be the game I get when I get a 5.

With character creation, I think diversity was the main focus. Imagine a world 5000 year's from now when everyone from all over the world mated with each other and now everyone looks basically the same. That's what NPC's look like, with color added back in. It just look out of place.

OMG I want to punch you in the face Jake. You keep reviewing on PS5 and magically keep having Issues. No surprise considering PS5 is TRASH. Xbox has 5 performance modes and is running really well. Stop reviewing on a trash console and you might not have Issues

I sincerely appreciate you giving an overview with a few pros and cons. I still would purchased the game regardless, but it's nice to have an even-handed take without telling the audience they are evil for liking or disliking the game. Well done. Salute.

So keen for this game, I grew up watching the movies and still watch them all multiple times a year.
I haven't pre ordered the game yet, but might actually do that today, just not sure which edition I want, but it will definitely be for PC.

Good video! 54yo normie guy here who enjoyed the original movies (never saw the Fantastic Beasts movies, didn't read the books, but I think I'm someone who might really enjoy playing the PC version of this game. Hogwarts looks amazing!
