Here s an opinion for someone who has never played a Payday game and managed to play it some. It plays well, what I experienced. First two missions. Second one was something I would not even have had in the game. It feels like it should have been part of another mission. That you can t take your mask off and put your gun away seems like a weird decision. Like, ok, I zip tied these two people and stuffed them in the bathroom. Why can t I remove the mask and go back to being stealthy? I will have to trust your position that the game is a good game, especially for payday, but that it didn t have weird bugs, that s a great thing.
That being said, I will only play it if the guy I play games with wants to and will only do that because he wants to. I just have no interest in it because it s just kinda boring. Everything is processes and once you know the processes, it s just a matter of doing those processes and being successful unless someone screws up and then you lower your head and trudge through the mission. Or you die or just restart it.
I do hope that the game is fun for everyone who wants to play it though. Don t take my position as what you base your decisions on.

I would love the play the game i paid money for thanks so much for showing me how much fun it is. I am glad i will always be able to look back at this video and see what could have been because this game will never let the average man getting off work be able to play. I am so happy to see the wonderful work that went into the PNG's of the people giving me the quest though I have stared at some black haired lady with a bluetooth earpiece. I probably know the background drums and bass better than the pledge of allegiance at this point.

Who else outright refuses to touch any POS game that requires you to create yet another account before you can even play it?
I have an xbl account. Why are the devs so bad at their jobs that they can't figure out how to let me play without creating an entirely new account?
I'm sure the rest of the game is similarly shit, but I won't be taking the time to find out until I can play without creating a special account for them to sell the info to.

Internet required? Thanks, I'll pass. I don't know why devs nowadays want to produce games that need internet all the time, this is ridiculuous. As I was reading the comments, people were already saying that the servers are down. And that's one of the main reasons, online required games will never have my money. It is useless paying for a game, that in some time will have servers down for life

We're playing it. No we're not, because the servers are down all the time so you can hardly even play it at all now. I think it's a fun game, absolutely an upgrade from 2, but no offline mode means that I can't even play the game solo because they did a really bad job preparing for launch. Also, an offline mode would take off some stress from the servers.

Prioritizing team play is fine. But when you do so to the point that the servers are overloaded because even solo players need to have the game hosted on your servers, it s to the detriment of the entire game. I have faith in them getting stuff fixed, but still super let down that I can t play simply because of business decisions.

as a long time payday fan this game is a massive let down not only because of the drm but also performance and general lack of charm the game has it feels like a soulless AA cash grab like homefront the revolution im definetely going back to payday the heist and payday 2 im glad i got my refund in time

Payday 3 was DoA when they decided to launch the game with no offline mode. Launch day showed very clearly that you are out 40 when the servers don't work with no option to play offline as a singleplayer game. You want to play solo stealth when servers don't work, Nopes you can't it's ONLINE ONLY.

I love payday 2, and im probably gonna keep playing payday 3, but I had to leave a negative steam review due to the always online thing
i honestly dont believe these launch issues are gonna be the only problems that we will experience because of the online thing

Reviews are mostly negative now. 30% positive. Now that's a new record. Worst launch of 2023. Even starfield didn't fumble so badly: 'D that means something. Overkill is still greedy, the monetizeation is scummy to the max, paid pre order season pass, in gane cash shop for cosmetics, +DLC.

I was pretty upset that I am a solo player and had to wait in matchmaking queues for long periods of time even on friend only or invite only settings. Online only is one of the worst options in gaming history

I was also really bothered by the fact that I couldn't tell the bots to carry bags until I realized you actually can. You don't use commands though, you just throw the bag at them and they should catch it.

I've played the game more during open beta than its true release. Never had this happen before and I was baffled when I found out I couldn't host my own lobby offline. Really shitty start to a mixed game already.

Just a little tip. Bots CAN carry bags for you. Throw a bag of money, jewellery, thermite etc at a bot and it ll go on their back. Then you can go back up to the bot and take it off of em to place it down

Fun fact: If you're playing with bots you can throw a loot bag at them to have them carry it. They won't deposit it into the escape vehicle or anything, But having three pack mules is better than nothing.

When playing solo you can get the bots to carry bags for you. Just throw the bag at the bot and they will catch it and carry it till you go pick it up off their back. You could do that in payday 2 as well

Question for fans of payday 2. Being that there was so much DLC, was there free stuff added over the years that was worth checking out or is payday treated like the Sims where there are 1000 paid DLC s?

my only gripe is that u can t feel intimidating as a bank robber when the game only lets u yell at the hostages ONCE. if someone else tells them to get down then the NPCs become literal props and lifeless
