There are no accidents.
On a side note. I want to stress that what I m going to say is a generality and that there are exceptions BUT, there are no more physical editions. Games are too large and release far too broken for actual physical releases. You can buy all the discs and even Switch games on cartridges you want, but you will still be downloading updates and there will be a point where if your system doesn t connect to a server to verify itself, your entire library is essentially shelf junk. I don t like that that is the future, but it s the reality of he situation.

I know it s part of life now and I know you re technically just reporting the news, but as a 36 year old gamer I m sort of done with leak culture.
There s the part of it that s in defense of gamers bc gaming companies have become greedy money suckers that nickel and dime us at every chance.
I think I m just nostalgic for an era where I got excited for a game for like a year before it came out and knew nothing.

At this point, all you can do is buy games later than everyone else. I'm playing Sonic Frontiers and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. And they're putting out the final update next week! So do yourself a favor, wait to play Starfield when they finally make a Moon Rover. Play Cyberpunk now if you bought it and never played it. The state of games right now is sadder than anyone's saying

Man. I like physical copies of games. The last time I had an xbox, I ended up selling it because I had most of my games in digital copies and didnt realize I had to have internet to even play them, so when I had to turn my wifi off for awhile to save money, I was cut off from everything. Definitely not cool if theyre moving toward 100% digital.

What a great day 18 months ago when my less than 3 year old Xbox crapped the bed and Microsoft told me to go F myself. Ive had Live since the original Xbox and they showed no loyalty to me. My new PC is great and Ubi got it so I could rescue my Siege skins. Thanks for setting me free, I'm never coming back Xbox.

In another alternate reality, Sony already acquired Nintendo or vise versa, too.
In a another reality, we don't have companies acquiring video games, because, we consumers can make video games ourselves. Lol.

the main competitor of xbox is the gaming PC. however powerful xbox is why would you buy it if you have a more powerful PC that basically plays everything at home. if they can't get out of PC shadow, what xbox should do is tomake a handheld console and compete with switch. that makes the most sense to me

Do you find suspicious this wave of leaks nowadays? Would it be so farfetched to infer that these type of leaks were premeditated so that studios pre-evaluate the response to certain projects before fully commiting?

Does anyone else think this leak was all part of sonys plan I'm not saying they paid someone I mean they had a feeling exclusive documents might be released if they started the court casehave a chance at being released legally or by as you said flipping the wrong switch

I really don t want a digital only console. I hope the next generation doesn t force us down that road although with how much companies love getting extra money out of people I can see that being exactly what happens since you can get physical copies so cheap sometimes

The reason Halo wasn t really brought up in the leaks, which surprisingly a lot of people fail to notice, is the games leak was basically all Bethesda stuff. That s why we didn t see stuff like Perfect Dark, Fable, Forza, Clockwork, South of Midnight etc.

I used to really enjoy and look forward to these. Now. it just fills me with dread because every news story usually just turns into something, shitty, unwanted or buggy. I just listen to these now at 1. 5x speed so I can get it over with

I'm telling you the best place to be right now is a PC. You get all the Microsoft games, theres game pass, theres the Steam sales, theres the Epic free games, theres Sony publishing their exclusives on PC, there's early access games ect

Too many great games to play for the next few months, ngl. I can only stick to one for the moment which is Cyberpunk 2027 v. 2. 0 and the week after in Phantom Liberty I d play Baldur s Gate, but I ll wait for a sale this December.

I donna know man, with each console generation, the appeal of console gaming starts to diminish.
