5 Recent Graphics Mods That Look INSANE

If our intention is escapism than having realistic graphics is actually the antithesis of gaming as a medium of entertainment.
I'm currently in the process of finishing the last battle in Advanced Wars 2 for the remaster on the Switch and I absolutely adore it. The graphics are primitive in comparison, but I posit that if this game had absolutely stellar graphics than they'd be not much more than a beautiful distraction from the stellar gameplay.
I have always been curious as to why anyone would be hyper focused on the outer shell of a game, or how it looks, instead of the much more important aspect of how much fun it is to play. It's a classic case of style over substance.

I feel like removing the muddy, grey filter of RE4 and replace it with a more vibrant colors actually defeats the entire horror esc atmosphere the game been trying to capture.
Like the muted colors actually serves a better purpose because it makes the game look gritty and grim. Like you're playing a survival action HORROR game ffs.
It's just like that one dude complained about RE5's color palette in which it's all brown and muddy and recommended to use a reshade that removes and replaces it entirely with a more colorful look, again on a fricking horror game.

I know minecraft isnt very PC Gamer but there was a recent development in minecraft visual mods that has really blown me away this week.
To keep it short, Distant Horizons (a genius render distance LOD performance enhancing mod) is now experimenting with comparability with Iris (a performance enhancing shader mod. The two are still in the very early beta stages of working together but when it works they can produce some of the most stunning visual improvements minecraft has ever seen.

I've had Ready Or Not for a while and I used to see other people's gameplay with the bodycam mod and I'd be like what in the hell is this! At first I thought it was a different game entirely, then I thought it was a Ready or Not VR thing. I still haven't gotten the mod because I'm a mod idiot and never install them properly but as a Ready Or Not player I can tell you the difference is indeed dramatic. (So dramatic I assumed it was a different game)

Elden Ring first person mod it's one of the most beautiful mods i have ever seen. It's nice to have the option and in my opinion adds to replayability of the games cause as you said, its like first time seeing the world that you have played for hours.

I am sorry to offend the Hogwarts gamers, but no matter how great the mod makes the graphics look, every time I see one of the characters flying on a broomstick and they are stiff as a board, the immersion disappears. I mean look at the guys feet and lower legs. They don’t even move or articulate as he is flying. he doesn’t lean into curves or anything. It looks like

I never used a lot of mods (but then again i was away from gaming for 10 years, and no i was not arrested or in the military, but one thing i've heard is a lot of those turn off achievements.
Is that true or just a Bethesda thing (which i've heard about their games like Skyrim or Fallout 4)
All in all they look great.

If you want to use Path Tracing on Cyberpunk 2077, I feel obligated to name Ultra. It ENHANCES the Path Tracing (using the High or Insane files) while GIVING you performance, and it has a performance file to give you vanilla PT with 20-40% performance gain. It is INSANE. It is dumb proof to install, extremely easy.

I will be so happy the day we see advanced consoles get the option for using mods! A guy can dream okay! I have a PC but it would just be so nice to see what modders could do with some of the capabilities that the PS5 is capable of, or getting certain games to work better on other systems and so on and so forth.

alternate video intro if you wouda told me back playing gamecube ssbm twilight princess or the 60 fps fzero game that in 20 years nintendo will have made almost no progress and will have lost most thrid party support almost entirely because the system is weaker then the 2013 consoles in 2024 i wouldnt have belived you.

Because most dumbA&% modders think uncompressed textures are cool, and the mod for CP2077 isn't using uncompressed textures so less performance impact because your system isn't dealing with raw data, the beauty of optimization, something the Skyrim/Fallout community struggles to get in their thick skulls.

You'd think with how greedy companies are these days they'd implement an official Remodded version of their games and sell them. I wasn't a huge fan of Elden Ring but I'd try a first person version on console. Armored Core would be great to experience first person version in too.

I genuinely have no idea how anybody could think a body-cam mod would be immersive. It's not like actual police SEE through their body cam at any point. This kind of mod is even more low-effort than a shader mod is, but you chose not to include shader modes cause they're low effort.

Nova Lut makes cyberpunk look way less stylized, which is what I guess it's supposed to do. But it looks like it goes from Cyberpunk to GTA, and less immersive for me. I much prefer the Cyberpunk atmosphere. I don't understand why everybody keeps wanting to install it.

Graphics are great but they've come at a cost of having good games now and I don't know about the rest of the viewers but I feel like we've actually hit a wall now where everything is going to prioritize money over enjoyment. Hopefully indie doesn't go the same way.

Going from Starfield to Cyberpunk was jarring and eye-opening. I dream of owning a beefy PC but CP2077 on Series X is one of the most beautiful looking games I’ve ever played. Thinking about the modding possibilities with that game just makes my head spin.

Lol sorry, the Ready or Not mod literally just looks like the same exact game with a black circular border around it. That's a wild one to showcase. So, so bad. It doesn't look like a body cam video at ALL, it looks like a bad video game attempt at a body cam

Not mentioning the AI upscale and full voice over mods for ff7 pc is a miss here. They added art to the bgs for wide-screen. It's insane. 7th heaven mod manager.
Throw in some reshade for color and sharepening. Its looks tight

The fact that fans can create visually stunning mods for free whereas a billion dollar gaming giant would use some sh1tty AI that just upscales the resolution and then charge 60 bucks really says allot.
