Especially when it gives you the real ending
In that sense if you know about it it basically makes it so that you should just run through the game doing nothing extra so that you can start new game plus and play the real game

Not directly related, but I appreciate any game that allows you to toggle your new game plus perks. Being able to choose what I want to bring and level gives the choice of being able to keep your build that you grinded to get, while also allowing the base game to still remain relatively challenging. I think what people want out of NG changes depending on the person and the game, so having the option is god-tier.

obviously older, but i loved the new game in Borderlands the pre-sequel.
sure, it was just your ordinary vault hunter mode restart, but the new narration was just great.
for the ones who don't know. since Pre-sequel is the past, and it is a story told by Athena, so you have narration in the game.
in vault hunter mode, the narration is done by Tina instead, which of course has her own crazy style.

Why do people keep using Nier Automata as an example of a game you need to finish multiple times! The 3 playthroughs are so different from each other that they just feel like a continuation. the second playthrough follows the same story but puts it in a different light and has different paths and story beats you don't see in the first. And the 3th just continues from where the first and second left of.

Why don’t you guys ever mention Ghost of Tsushima! The game fits perfectly in many videos you guys make and it’s never mentioned. For example, NG not only does it give you amazing charms and several armor dyes and masks, but the difficulty Lethal is actually lethal, plus you get 3 curses that give the game an even harder challenge. Don’t sleep on the ghost please.

As boring as starfield was, one thing I loved is the starborn dialogue options in NG so you don’t have to sit through 45 minutes of unneccessary dialogue to get back to shooting. But then again that just reiterates how boring that game was, that I was excited that I could skip entire story points to do something else.

this list requires a part 2
1) Skyrim Legendary. your most used skill, you get to reset it
2) ME SoW Brutal Difficulty. you are an assassin, you dont own the place even if you do, so sneak around
3) almost any roguelike with extra difficulty & rewards multiplier. so anything from Hades till Bastion

Ohh good topic! Personally idk how I feel about delayed NG like in GoW. It is kind of nice that its usually added it when some dlc comes out and gives you some motivation to replay it. For most games it definitely makes sense to have it and i hope it continues to be included more.

Not meaning to poop on people who do it, but I'm not sure I've ever actually done a New Game because I guess I never saw the point It just seems like replay the game except both you and enemies are stronger which it's kinda like. why not just restart at that point lol

Unrelated to the video, but since the majority of folks watching are gamers thought I would ask:
I got dragons dogma on sale for Xbox, but I’m having a hell of a time getting into it. I want to play it to prepare for the the release of #2, anyone got any advice

I haven't played Horizon Zero Dawn has an amazing NG that allows you to continue to improve your gear beyond just the first NG run and it looks like Horizon Forbidden West's NG is just as amazing. I can't wait for HFW's release next month.

Nioh's new gane plus is the best in my opinion.
It adds tons of new content, new features, revamps pretty much every level feom dotd and even adds an entire new endgame system that can easily keep you occupied for hundreds of hours.

Love NG. I welcome it for just about any game. When it is done well, it elevates the game for me, as I really enjoy the additions when replaying it. Used to be a thing, then it went away mostly. Glad it seems to be coming back!

I actually don't like it when NG gives us new missions. It feels like the devs just want to pad out the game time by having us played thru the campaign, twice or more, that's 80%ish the same; just so we can get to the new missions.

I understand why you lose all your stuff in Starfield NG but I think you should keep your inventory.
SPOILER ALERT
makes sense your ship and outposts would not exist in another universe.

Batman Arkham Knight.
You have all your tech and abilities at the start of NG
But the difficulty is permanently set to the highest level (Knighthood.
You can’t change it at all.

Not so new, but I really liked Mercenaries Playground of Destructions NG mode. To bad the sequel didnt have one. Also Like 2018s God of War and Ragnaroks NG modes.

Alan Wake 2's new game plus was the most satisfying one I've ever played. The new ending provided something the series has never had: A satisfying bit of closure.

I love new game modes but i hate it when the enemies get stronger to match. When i start up a new game i'm expecting to just decimate everything in front of me.
