Toy soldiers war chest, they had a few licensed characters from GI Joe, Assassins creed, and He-Man, also always required online connection despite no multiplayer component. Few years after released, whether it was down to licensing the characters or just keeping the servers online, they didn’t want to do it. Wasn’t a crazy game but that aspect of putting down the toy towers and controlling them during wave defense gameplay and having the special characters to go into third person and roam around the arena could keep you entertained and stylistically I thought was so cool. The original toy soldiers is on steam if you want to see the original and hypercharge unboxed is similar enough in the first person/third person shooter mechanics. Media preservation is so important

Speaking of games that no longer can be played.
Its a shame that Splinter Cell Blacklists Spies vs Mercs was shut down. But i remember there was some game in development that wanted to replicate that game mode as a full game. I remember you guys at Gameranx mentioned it at some point. Do you know what has happened to it I dont remember enough info about it to find it. Im curious if that game ever came out, or just got canned, or maybe its still slowly being developed.

Another nearly unplayable game that, imo, was an excellent RTS of WWII that should have been included is R. U. S. E.
Super fun, and could be nearly infinitely replayed against even just the ai thanks to the many maps and modes, and thanks to the AI's design/settings you could adjust, you could set up amazing battles. The game's been fully removed from any digital stores and is almost impossible to find the disc of it anywhere!

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse 2013 remake. I never got a chance to play it since it was delisted in March 2017. The original on Master System was a foundation of video games in my life for the last 40 years! Its Ridiculous that you can't get this game! Back then the only obstacle to get games were my parents and now that I have my own money, it's the game companies! Sorry for the rant but I still wanna play that game!

This video proves that people who make and develop games never played them when they were kids. They are effectively undoing what the developers did 40 years ago to get people into playing games in the first place! Taking away what people want to play and providing products they think people want to play! EA is a run by a group of men who got clothes for Christmas instead of a Nintendo and now they are taking their revenge.

The best part of Destiny 2s year 1 and 2 campaigns being gone is that the game engine issues that caused the content vault are basically gone and they haven't given them back yet (probably the fault of, i dunno, the damn live service model eating up all their dev power)
Prediction: those campaigns will probably come back right as Destiny 3 is announced, which would be SO fun to watch the community reeee over lmao

There's a time travelling game I played on Atari ST in the 90's you had to travel to 4 periods in History and recover items to save the future. It's not Future wars before anyone types that as a possible response. Anyway even with piracy making the games available in the 21st century, one game that eludes all lists it seems is my time travelling game. If anyone has a clue PLEASE could you give a bro a hand.

The moment I saw the thumbnail a tear rolled down my cheek
MAG is IN MY OPINION still the best fps that has ever existed.
In the span of 2 years I had put more than 3000 hours in that game.
Though Domination (128 vs 128 players) was fun my favorite mode was sabotage (32 vs 32. It’s been 10 years since they shut the servers down but I still miss it. R. I. P. MAG

You know what is worse about Destiny 2 When they started sunseting weapons and armor with new expansions causing people to dismantle that gear to make space for new gear. Now they are changing that any any gear from anytime in the game can be upgraded to the current max power level. A lot of good that does when nearly all of that gear has been deleted for years now.

The game that makes me sad that I can't really play anymore is LOTR Battle for Middle Earth 2. Due to rights being lost, the servers were shut down that would validate your install, and so it would fail and you couldn't play the game. There are hacks to get around it, but I wish I could just play the game again without all of that.

I actually miss Platinum's Legend of Korra game, yeah the mechanics were simple and a bit repetitive but i liked it, Transformers Devastation too, the combination of Transformers Generation 1 (the best generation) with Platinum was amazing, i have a physical copy of Transformers Devastation thankfully so i didn't lose it: )

What makes the Crew case even worse is that its not like all of the other games, where you techically have it but just cant play it because it requires servers that no longer exist. Ubisoft straight up removed Crew from players game lists, at least on Uplay (or whatever its called now. Which is just insane.

There was this game called Syndicate (no, not Assassin's Creed Syndicate) that was released by EA in 2012. Was a nice little story based FPS as far as I remember. Last time I tried it's impossible to get the game (I pirated the game since I was a kid back then and didn't have any money: D)

I've been playing Trove on Xbox for roughly 8 years, and now, due to a duplication exploit, the game is essentially broken. I've spent thousands of hours building a world, and its entirely on their servers. It is just a matter of time until all of my hard work ceases to exist.

The Destiny 2 campaign is the reason I never spent a dime on it. I finally got a gaming PC, all excited to play it only to find out I was SOL. I need my single-player campaign to enjoy and feel immersed in the online stuff, so without that, I have zero reason to play.

MAG was a pretty fun and unique game, I still have my physical copy even if it's useless. What's infuriating with the Crew is they also removed your licence to the game on the Ubisoft store so you can't download it if somehow someone make an offline fan-patch or server.

It still blows my mind that one of the scariest, most influential horror games of all time - demo or not - can't be played. This is why game preservation is important. I can't wait for PS4 emulation to finally catch up so people can have access to that game again.

You forgot the main thing about overwatch. The first iteration was about 50-60 bucks and the second version was free. So the people who bought the game initially didn't get anything worth noting and ofc with all the cancellations it ended up being the worst rated game

Gazillion were the best devs I ever experienced. They would spend a lot of time on the forums talking to players. They had a vote one time on what the new hero should be and when the vote was done, they added the new hero and ALSO Loki which was a total surprise.
