This game fest showcase was honestly horrendous.
I feel bad for the developers that are actually trying to push these games.
The only game that actually looked good was, No More Room In Hell 2 and of course that’s only on PC lol.
Everything else was literally Japanese games or something related to China, Lego, Harry Potter Quiditch, that no one asked for.
I’m really hoping Xbox’s showcase proves us wrong. Such a flop of an event.

Was really looking forward to Night Springs, so that it's tomorrow detail was the best thing for me. However, Batman Arkham Shadow failed to mention that it's Quest 3 exclusive. PC VR my arse - I haven't meta Quest exclusive that I give a fk for. (salty Valve Index owner. (also yes I'm pissed that AW2 is Epic exclusive but, like meta quest, they're financing the development. Poor services gotta buy consumers)

Sadly Bokeh Games Studio / Keiichiro Toayama confirmed Slitterhead barely left its beta stage almost at the end of last year during their development diary showcase, meaning it is nowhere near polished or ready enough for an actual release due to how short of a timeframe it had to bring it up to par. Honestly kind of expecting a janky technical mess with a lot of passion

I just realized that gameranx never laces any coverage of games/topics in socio-political opinion. That's an incredibly rare, and frankly brilliant strategy. I predict as others come and go, you're gonna have a nearly infinite life in games media. Because you do great at bringing us news without serving BS, one way or the other.

My only gripe with Phantom Blade zero seems like the Swordplay doesn't feel impactful. I mean when the swords clash, it just feels like a light slap rather than a metal clanking and screeching. Might be the sound effects or visuals that felt lacking. Sekiro's swordplay has such a weight to it, I feel very few games perfected that

I can't wait for Civ 7 to be good so I can make the switch from 6 haha. My wife and I play Civ 6 whenever we have the time and it is both of our favorite video game. I also jumped in after people started saying it was getting good and all the dlc was was on sale with the game for around $50. Money well spent.

I'd love more 'grounded' games, we've got an oversaturation of Souls-like games with dumb lore and horror stuff everywhere, but there is clearly a market for that. But give us more games like GTA or Mafia or even Assassin's Creed, there is a huge market for that too, just gotta make the damn games.

I played the early alpha for quittich champions end of last year. Glad to see it's coming out soon and how much has been added and improved on from back when I played. They had a great start then, game felt great. Definitely a learning curve, but so worth learning. Can't wait for the full release

im surprised you guys came up with 10. the vibe felt off this year man. jeff even seemed tired and lacking energy. it was a indie showcase for indie devs. thats fine and great, but man it was a hard 2 hour watch, especially with all the ads. i miss e3 very much. i miss those o shit moments.

Anyone else exclusively getting the unskipable military-industrial complex ad I dont pay enough attention to see if they do this every year this time around graduations or just the special time we exist in now. but dont fall for it, you dont respawn after a match in the gulag.

If Lego makes more Horizon machines as sets, I will be buying them. I already have the Tallneck (that came with an itty bitty Watcher) and keep hoping they'll make a Thunderjaw. I'll buy the Lego Horizon game. and hope it does well enough to get us the other machines as sets. :D

Blah, blah, blah, blah, Lego Horizon, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm so over all the demon-this, souls-that, horror/thriller, MMO live-service. Seems like the only decent games coming out during the 2nd half of 2024 is ASTRO Bot and Lego Horizon.

The fact that Playstation are allowing one of their exclusive games to be playable on the Nintendo Switch (as a lego game, but not Xbox makes me wanna see Xbox play the same game with one of their exclusives. Like, imagine a Lego Halo game.

Even if Summer Game Fest & Play Station's State of Play combined Voltron style, they would still combine for a D rating. Not total trash but deeply disappointing. It's okay to just cancel these shows if you have nothing to show.

The 2003 quidditch world cup game looks better than this one. I loved that game, many hours of my childhood dedicated to it. Hope atleast this ones gameplay is as good. Please, all they have to do is copy the gameplay.

Slitterhead looks interesting, just hope it doesnt turn out to be Prototype/Infamous kinda thing. ehh. speaking of games with body swapping, having another game like Omikron the Nomad Soul would be cool

Played the quidditch game and it seemed ok but idk kinda forgetful after a month. Was easy to score on all the other. Noobs in beta. But definitely a ftp game with all the microtransactions

My wallet will be safe for a long time coming it seems. Phantom blade and Wu Kong are the only two I care about and apparently Wu Kong wont have a physical disc and I refuse to buy digital goods so.
