Some of the more memorable moments for me personally in video games were several metal gear moments, a couple mass effect moments, the raft ride in King Kong, a couple bioshock moments, after I escaped the factory in the first oddworld game, stumbling across ash lake area in dark souls was pretty cool and also for some reason a ps1 game called Echo Night was just very memorable for me even though it’s very slow paced but it did one thing well for me and that is atmosphere and for a limited graphics ps1 game I really felt like I was solving the mysteries of an old ghost ship in the middle of an ocean and freeing the spirits of the ship one mystery at a time. Oh also the first time I played red dead revolver before the redemption in a time where western games hadn’t been done very well yet and the ability to quick draw and the whole civil war thing was just amazing to me.

The bit on 2077's Phantom Liberty made me feel like that expansion was really a return to form for CD Projekt. Witcher 2 had the same kind of structure, your choices would completely change Act 2. What you know about the setting, characters, conflicts, etc. would change drastically depending on your alignment. To the point that the game would actively hide information from you depending on your choices. It made replays so much more satisfying compared to other choice heavy games, hell, I'd say including The Witcher 3.
I have a lot of respect for developers that make content some people just won't see. It lends more to videogames as an art form - narrative for narrative's sake, audience notwithstanding.

If Remedy keeps going this way they're going to shut down. I'm not saying their games are bad; far from it. However, their games are waaaay too experimental for AAA budgets. It took YEARS for Control to make any money, and Alan Wake 2 may not have even recouped it's development budget at this point. It is absolutely unsustainable.
They have 5 AAA games in development while recording an operating loss of 28. 6 million in 2022. Not only that, they also reported a 22% drop in year over year revenue for 2023. As I said, unsustainable. Sam Lake is being downright irresponsible with his studio. As a Finnish studio, maybe they enjoy some kind of subsidization, but even so it is completely insane.

The opening level of Defector VR is one of the most insane and entertaining levels I've ever experienced. You start by getting a bond style briefing, infiltrate the targets room then have an interrogation scene, followed by an intense shootout with the side blown off the plane, a hand to hand fight and then drive a sports car out of the plane as it explodes, whilst having a shootout and jump out of the car another plane. Only to end with a gunfight against jet fighters and then skydive to safety. Easily the closest I've ever felt to being James Bond in a game.

Bethesda screwed up by not making the power to skip between universes one of the powers once you become Starborn. I was hoping for that, and was so disappointed when it didn't happen.
Imagine (for example) you enter a universe where Sam leads the Crimson fleet and your enemy in this universe. So in order to solve the clues to crack his terminal password you have to talk to the Sam in a friendly universe.
So many possibilities to actually make it worthwhile to keep playing post-starborn.

For me it’s The Suicide Mission in ME2.
The steady buildup was always intentional & one that was going to lead up to something truly amazing. The frantic time you spent upgrading the Normandy, of completing everyone’s Loyalty Missions in time in the vain hope it would be enough to help them survive the trials set before you was nerve racking to say the least.
But to achieve the ending where everyone survives is the biggest buzz you’ll ever get!

sorry to time travel back in time, but 2 all time most memorable levels in games are
1. Call of Duty 2 (2005) first level during D-Day at Pointe du Hoc, seriously it was as good as Saving Private Ryan
2. Doom 3 (2004) right at begining, you start in a pitch black hallway with a flashlight with a a narrow beam, seriously in a dark room with headphones it's a chair jumper!
Just epic moments in gaming history

To comment on the Venom one, we do know from the unfortunate Insomniac leak that there are plans for an actual Venom game, and this mission was the test for it. They were also originally gonna have MJ on her motorcycle as a gameplay segment, but it had to be cut, but you can assume that this would've been a test for their upcoming Wolverine game using a motorcycle.

There's potential for a series
Most people probably won't remember, but Turrican 2, the Katakis/Denaris level blew my mind back in the day. Turrican is basically a jump'n'shoot and then suddenly the main character jumps into a starfighter and you're thrown into a classic shmup, the epic Chris Huelsbeck music did the rest. Yes I'm old.

Remedy are killing it right now. Not only are Alan Wake and Control beautifully intertwined but they're reclaiming their (technically) non-Remedy IPs in ingenious ways. Jesse Faden's even hinted as being an 'alternate' to Beth Wilder from QB (referred to as 'the red-headed woman') since both characters are played by Courtney Hope

I scrolled for a long time and very strange to not see anyone mention the first scarecrow mission in Batman Arkham Asylum. that blew me away and caught me so off guard. Really thought something was wrong with my console - if you know you know.
But apart from that, the visuals were great, and changed up the gameplay.

For me, pretty much any of the set peices in any of the Uncharted games. I honestly couldn't pick just one as each one is unique and awesome. I think the Madagascar car chase in Uncharted 4 is my favorite though, as its just a 10 minute long uninterrupted interactive action scene. Blew my mind when i first played it.

It's funny, with how awesome it was that Phantom Liberty gave you different final missions depending on your choices, this isn't even the first time CDPR did this. They first did it in The Witcher 2 back in 2011. The entire second and third acts of the game are completely different based on which of two characters you side with.

Is it just me or everytime a video has Falcon in it the video quality is worse in terms of weird cuts that abruptly ends what he's saying or durin the end you see the elden ring getting used as an ending instead of the pizza tower one it looks so lazy seeing these as an after thought

I just started watching the video and i'm just gonna say this. I'd be disappointed, Gameranx or Falcon, if far cry 3's weed farm is not in here.
WE MASH UP DA PLACE TURN UP DA BASS AND MAKE THEM ALL HAVE FUN
Edit: nvm, theme of the video is different from what i was thinking

Insomniacs Venom didn't feel as good as PS2 Ultimate Spider-Man's Venom. Honestly although I have multiple problems with Werewolf: The Apocalypse Earthblood. It feels more like I am playing Venom then Insomniac's Venom. Their Venom was a let down for me personally.

I hate I did not create a safe file right at the beginning of phantom liberty to go back and play it over again and now I have to either start a whole new game or go way back to almost the beginning. I wish there was a way to restart just the phantom liberty DLC.

Still Wakes The Deep is a really good looking game and I liked the story and all that, but I just wished we had a little more freedom. it's basically just pushing the forwards button for the whole game, makes it a bit boring imo but I still enjoyed it

Fun fact about that part from Inside, after you get the boards off and get inside and push the cabinet over, if you get on top of the cabinet to taunt the dogs for all the crap they gave you, they can still bite you and pull you through the hole.

Bruh the Midway mission in Vanguard, is one of the most ridiculous and historically inaccurate game I'd ever played.
I mean how the fuq can an SBD (the bomber plane MC uses) can outrun a more maneuverable and nimbler fighter plane, A6M Zero
