with the gt7 1 its not that the cars are expensive its more that there is no good events to do for cash there like 3 events in the whole game thats worth grinding on but they only give like 700k so thats like doing the same event 29x for 1 car if there was like 20-30 events that was viable with diffrent reqs then it wouldnt be that bad. ( and the thing is with this whole micro transaction thing its not realy the company at fault its more the idiots that buy the stuff, if no 1 bought it then the company would just be wasting time and money developing all this stuff and would stop doing it or they would make it a resonalble price. the gaming community is just as responsible as the developers for the state of microtransactions

We can complain all we want, but consumers lie all the time. They really only speak with their wallets and clearly gamers have accepted and even embraced microtransactions globally to the tune of tens of billions of dollars a year. If we didn't want them, they wouldn't exist. If someone wants to give me 15, 000 USD for a virtual hat, I'm making that hat and I'm selling it to them and I don't care if they complain in the comments or make videos about how expensive and hated these things are. They'll hand me more money the next time I come around. If you want these things to stop, stop buying them and they'll go away. I'd guess 90% of the people that complain about MTX have purchased multiple ones. Numbers don't lie.

Micro means small. So, these transactions can not be called Micro. It is false advertising in the best case scenario. Also, digital content is a bunch of numbers in a program. Yes, it took someone a few hours to create the digital content, but I highly doubt that it costs thousands of dollars to create the digital content. People need to stop enabling these vicious companies. I won't play Call of Duty or Duki because of the people cheating. Now, I won't purchase it because of the vicious greed.

I have a good example of microtransaction inside a game, I've played this game for years and it's the best microtransaction in game I've ever seen, the game called Warframe if you never heard of it, it's a MMO game, and it's free, of course there is microtransaction, but the thing is, if you want to play for free, you 100% can, every essential item is free in the game, and in game real currency is tradeable, there is trading system in the game, and the best part is, when you login everyday there is a chance to get a discount voucher from 25% to 75% off to buy in game currency, the game is updated regularly, there are so much events, literally the best microtransaction in a game

The amount of Misinformation behind the Star Citizen segment is staggering.
Every single ship in the game can be Bought and Grinded for In-game.
They are not Locking / Paywalling the entire Base Building feature behind buying a ship with real money, as there are multiple options planned for Base Building which were shown during 2024's Citcon Show, which are in active development.
All you have to do is buy a $40/$45 Starter Package and you'll be able to play the game and not miss out on any content which includes all the ridiculously priced ships

It's very likely that a majority of players don't buy those luxury skins but the thing is that like in most business the small rich clientel make up most of the profit of a company. You've probably heard of of whales in mobile games that make up only 2% of the playerbase but account for up to 50-70% of the total profit. I can imagine that it's no different for any of those cases here. It doesn't matter if we plebs don't want this. We weren't their main target anyway. Voting with your wallets doesn't matter because your wallet isn't big enough for them to care.

Whilst ripping off players across many franchises many of these compnaies complain about how expensive to create these items it is and how they need more funds to make them. They can go F themselves there not even providing an improved service or even adding to the game any one that says but there only cosmetic be quiet your the damn problem that's ruining alot of gaming and are the reason micro-transactions starting price for most of them is anywhere from the price of half the game to waaaay beyond the cost of a decent or console its bloody mental.

With now a days you see someone with all that it’s like ehh probably bought it. Which makes my next point. Someone who has the basic skin. They either a first timer or a god hiding in plain site. Lmaooo with everyone decked out the people I look out for are ones without any skins. Those people are the ones who have countless hours and will destroy you. Lol

On gran turismo 7, I fully agree about the price of credits being insanely high, but when you mentioned about time spent, 20mil credits is usually around 14 hours, and that is playing fairly casually, still steep but not as bad as many games. I'm not saying it's a good thing either, I'd rather it be easier tbh but I've experienced much worse grinds for much less.
The price of credits is just insane, I'm not sure who buys them and it makes zero sense to me why anyone would.

I look at the games that have disappeared over the years and wonder what there will be to show after spending anything on a digital product only for it to disappear too.
From a personal experience point of view, I made a - thankfully - small micro transaction in a game I was enjoying only for it to be no longer available. Game gone. Purchase gone.
Got me thinking that I have nothing now to show for it.
No more micro transactions for me now.

Some countries have to pass laws because it's gotten so bad that even the ESRB put in place to self-police the gaming industry has to be told to stop accepting bribes and rate games accordingly.

Final Fantasy XIV has multiple resin statues tied to the various expansions that are $250 each. The statues come with a code for an in game emote that can only be obtained this way. Many in the community say that the statues come with comes with a $250 emote. Oftentimes people will buy the statues come, use the code, then try to resell the statues at a loss since the code can only be used once, because they want that emote more than anything

As someone who has been playing apex legends since its release and thought the micro transactions were really bad (they are) but holy hell the other entries on this list are actually insane and the thing is at this point the consumers are just as much to blame, hopefully in the near future we will see some kind of micro transaction crash and prices will go down to a more reasonable level but its probably too late

It's incredible having played LoL for like 13 years now to watch as every 2 or so years they'd release the 'ultimate super mega rare exclusive' skins that you thought couldn't get any more extreme and expensive, only for the prices to double every time it happened. Now we're at the $300 skins and as long as people keep buying this shit they're only going to push the boundaries further and further

The price of micro transactions has skyrocketed because of streamers & uncontrolled younglings with parents credit cards. The saddest part is that the streamer's all get to right the damn thing off as a business expense. So that shit hurts the common-folk. I mean the micro in microtransaction does not stand for the Price it stands for what you get. Micro means skins, Single characters or weapons. Sounds, banners, profile pictures or just a new color. It means pretty much one Single, usually digital, item.
Microtransaction can be more expensive than the Expansion Pack or season pass or whatever.

I get pissed when I wake up the next day after getting hammered and I see I bought a battle pass or a game or two on sale that I didn't need.
I don't think I could ever be drunk enough to pay $100 plus for anything cosmetic in a game, thats just wild.
