I do like how Liu Kang and Kitana don't flirt in this game. She may be Kitana, but she's not HIS Kitana. She has different experiences, and they made her a different person. To pursue her would make him unfaithful to the one he shares all those precious memories with.

At first, I was upset that Kitana was reduced to a jobber, but considering the big roles that she's played in the last games, especially 11, I'm fine that her screen time was sacraficed so characters like Mileena, Baraka and Reptile could thrive. Though, I do think that she'll play a larger part in the sequel.

As much as I love Johnny Cage's Character Growth in the original timeline, I'd really like to see him get together with Kitana in this timeline. I love their chemistry and could only imagine how a Cassie Cage would turn out with those two as parents.

I thought them cutting down the intros would be a let down, but they still get enough out to tell some interesting stuff, and it seems it give more time and opportunities for more characters to speak.
