Even though Shang Tsung was original final boss, the most iconic final boss in the entire franchise has to be Shao Khan. There's a reason why he was featured as the final boss the most times, even excluding Dark Khan which is technically also him. Though honestly the final bosses seem to have degraded recently instead of evolved, I feel earlier entries in the franchise had much better final boss fights than the recent entries. As well as a better story which went completely off the rails than full special snowflake.

Shao Kahn in MK3 was just Shoulder Tackle, Shoulder Tackle, Shoulder Tackle, Projectile, Hammer, Shoulder Tackle, Shoulder Tackle. Classic Shao Kahn spamming bs since they made sure his attacks couldn't be blocked so you couldn't bate him into Upper Cuts. Also this just might be me, but I do not remember MKX being that fast pace, a little bit slower, but not fast pace. I do miss interacting with the stages though.

Man this brings back memories. The last time I played MK was Deception. That game had a whole RPG in it. I must-ve easily spent over a hundred hrs in that game. In MK1 did they get rid of the 3D side stepping? It seems like the series has lost some of its cheesy charm. There-s no more crazy stuff like Babality & Friendship anymore right?

MK9 Shao Kahn is still the easily the best NRS MK boss to date. MK1 Titan Shang Tsung is a good boss tho, which is nice, i prefer him easily over Kronika. Not sure if i prefer him yet over MKX Shinnok based on quality and difficulty but only time will tell after i put some more time into MK1.

Even though I didn't really care for Kronika as a main villain, her boss fight always looked fun. Wouldn't mind if they made her a DLC character in MK1 somewhere down the line and let us play as her since we didn't get the chance in MK11.

And why don't anybody consider adding in their evolution videos other MK games, like Mythologies, Special Forces and Shaolin Monks? Like, why those games does not count anyway? It's like they don't exist or something.

30 years after his debut in Mortal Kombat 2, no final boss/main antagonist in MK comes even close to dethroning the GOAT, Shao Kahn. He's the perfect -big bad- for the franchise.
His design. His lore. His evolution.

Onaga was definitely the most terrifying boss for me. Shinnok in MK 4 was really underwhelming to me as a boss, he went out too easy to the point where it felt anticlimactic. Goro was definitely harder to beat lol

BEST COMBAT AND BEST FINAL BOSS
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe
MK9
MK3
Without - Scorpion no Mortal Kombat, Scorpion is a better Fighter every Mortal Kombat game + Sub-Zero is second place

(For me) The most memorable boss was UMK3 Shao Khan. The most annoying was Corrupted Shinnok, the Mfer always hit me with his chest blasts if you didn't close the gap fast enough.

Love how the Kronika battle was kind of a love letter to the original Shang Tsung fight, with her summoning other fighters in the game to attack. Should-ve hade that in MK1
reply

Will never forget racecar Shao Kahn death sound in mk3. Also didnt remember mk3 Shao Kahn fight feeling as scuffed as it's portrayed in the vid

I swear to god, deadly alliance is incomplete it has 1 FATALITY FOR EACH CHARACTER, NO UPPERCUT, NO BOSS ENDING, WORST ROSTER AND WEAK BOSSES
reply

I still don't understand, why Shujinko looks more like Shang Tsung than Shujinko, and Shang Tsung looks more like Shujinko, than Shang Tsung.
reply

Wouldn't it make more sense if you fought Quan Chi and Shang Tsung at the same time in deadly alliance or could they not do that yet
reply

Ever since the first first Mortal Kombat 1992 game, Shang Tsung is the original -Big Bad Boss- before Shao Kahn, Shinnok and Kronika.
reply

This may be an unpopular opinion but Shao Kahn is probably the cheapest villain I have seen in games. In MK2, 3 and 9
reply

Deadly Alliance and Deception are the best. so much game modes, insane story, character creation and so much more
reply

OG Shang Tsung always scared me. He looked like a rotting old corpse. His evil laugh was just the cherry on top
reply

I loved the new mk1 story but the boss is just way to easy bro i hope they make him stronger or something
reply

From my experience, Darksied or Shao Kahn were a lot tougher to beat than when they merged into Dark Kahn.
reply

Shang Tsung could have been the Deadly Alliance final boss as well. They kinda just switched off as needed.
reply

They were so out of memory for the first Shang Tsung, he's not even moving, he's like a shaky sprite xD
reply

Original ones I loved playing against is Shang & Kahn, those were the best ones, these other ones, na
