I should have clarified that I mean this is a good method when you're in a situation like I was where I had a lot of things I wanted to ask and a relatively short time to ask them in (15 minutes. If you have the time to sit down one on one and chat for a while, then I would only recommend giving them a general idea of the topics that will be covered, not the full questions. Which anyone with a PR department will probably require to see anyway. Thanks for commenting!

I love Friday 101, but this episode had some things I don't agree with at all:
#1. Give your questions to the interviewee in advance of the interview. < If you're interviewing a pro who's done a million interviews fine, they know what they're doing. But doing this to a random person is a BIG no-no. You'll run a HUGE risk of them coming up with answers in advance and when it's time for the interview all the answers will sound forced and unnatural.

I really wrote Indy Mogul off after BFX ended, I had no interest in watching trailers or talking about the latest big budget movies. But between You, Russel, and Griffin, I have to admit that Indy Mogul has really started to FEEL like Indy Mogul again. In fact, you two are making strides to actually surpass the level of quality that initially drew me in all those years ago.
Outstanding job guys, keep up the great work.

It's okay, sir! Don't worry! The BFX videos are still there. We still feature DIY videos that audience members send in on Moguler Made and the Awesome Director's Project is a good mix of how-to's and lessons on filmmaking. Griffin does DIY stuff from time to time on Indy News, and I go over more basic subjects on here. Take a breath, all is well! :)

Thanks! The PR people behind the contest reached out to us as they knew the contest would appeal to our audience. The premiere was an added bonus to all press who were involved with the junket earlier in the day.

I looked around and apparently there's an audio plugin just called compressor or something like that and it should have hard limiting presets in it. Hopefully this information was right!

If you think this was hard, having to watch the whole thing on the editing timeline over and over again was REALLY rough, lol. Especially the parts that didn't make the cut.

I would've been SHITTING BRICKS in that situation! But this proves that a little humility goes a long way. Despite your nerves you basically charmed your way to a great result.

It was a professional XDCam, though I was surprised at the footage myself. Not sure why it came out the way it did, but then I've never actually used the XDCam before.

I could have ripped up the questions and been like I'm doing this on my terms KEVIN. I want the SCOOP, in a real arrogant manner. Maybe next time? :)

And people always asked why I had the coffee. Because it really is a thing where some people just don't know what to do with their hands on camera!

Haha, and I force Chad to maintain eye contact while I change the shirt and if he breaks the stare I start over. I run a very despotic set!

That friday101 special was really well done. Very nice work! How did you get the opportunity to interview those guys and go to the premier?
reply

If your first interview is with Kevin Spacey included. what are you expecting for your, let's say, 50th?
Nice job though: D

Great information in this episode. Thanks for sharing your experiences and insights! You did a great job.
reply

I think that was for the people before me, while a boom mic went straight into the camera, which is what I got.
reply

So great that you showed your imperfections to help people that want to do this. Great attitude. You'll go far.
reply

you should have had your coffee mug from movie quest to keep your hands from waving in front of the camera.
