One of the strangest adventure games ever made, the story of Klaymen and The Neverhood is just awesome. Surreal and underrated only begins to describe it. No wonder that it's a highly collectible cult classic!

Come on! Played this game when it was released, and I was a kid in school. I did have to think for 2-3 days on the worst of the puzzles - the sound ones, but it contributed to the charm of the game. Nothing was too hard, it is just that I was a kid. This is the only adventure game I replayed for at least 3 times. The scorpion-monster was the funniest thing ever, and Willy movie was the saddest. I still remember every word of that video to this day and -Look out for bar, because bad is where you always forget to look- has been a life motto in a way.

Even back in the day I couldn't understand why people were all over all these extremely ugly looking games using textured polygons and never looked at all the gorgeous games that were coming out that didn't use that look. Honestly, I have zero nostalgia for the likes of Dark Forces and Hexen: dull games, that never looked good. Not even on the day they were first released.
The Neverhood, though, deserves to be remembered. I would love for this game to receive a remaster on current-gen systems.

I've finished the game a few times. The first time it took me and my friend good 3 months of trial and error as we had no guide, no internet and we didn't speak any English (which made the Bobby shrinker puzzle particularly challenging. The art style and music make this game my favorite. I was really looking forward to the Armikrog title released by the same gang, but it felt a bit cheated of the manual work and wit the Neverhood had on every step.

There was a time when I had Willy Trombone's entire monologue memorized. I'd watched the making-of mockumentary that came on the disc and I'd read the entire chronicles in the records room. It's really unfortunate about the video compression -- if I had to guess, I'd say that's the main thing keeping them from releasing a remastered version. That and maybe intellectual property issues.

This was the first PC game I ever played when my parents brought home a Gateway in 1999. Unfortunately, for some reason, the disc stopped working after the first or second time and I never got a chance to play it again until years later. Still wish I would have kept it, especially now that a boxed copy of the game is $500 on eBay.

When i was in a private religious school (that was also on a cult list for a while) all the computers had the neverhood demo and good god trying to find it for 13 years your video has saved my sanity because i thought it was all fever dream. No wonder i am good at weird horror stuff because i played this a lot as a kid

This game was awesome. I have fond memories of playing this during school holidays with 2 of my best friends. We would play through out the night while getting pissed out of our minds in whatever we could find hidden in my dad's 'secret' alcohol stash. This game will always have a really special place in my heart.

And i'm not being nolstalgic about it, i swear, i played it recently and it's still fresh! Please, make a review of it! - From a brazilian fan.

Holy shit. I remember now. The group home had this game along with Road Rash, Earthworm Jim, and a bunch of others on this Gateway 2000 PC in the basement. I spent so much time playing this, it-s been so long (24 years. I-d completely forgotten until I saw the preview for this and it all came rushing back

Got this game as a gift when I was about 12 and I loved it so much. Wish I still had my boxed copy. Lent it to a friend decades ago and they ended up moving. Great game though. Visually impressive and the story and puzzles were fantastic. I really want to replay it sometime.
