Gameplay and commentary on the PC version of Sleeping Dogs, an open world game set in Hong Kong with fantastic melee combat and an awesome storyline where you infiltrate the Triads as an undercover supercop. Buy Sleeping Dogs on PC for less on my game shop!

I just finished with the game, I have to thank you for introducing me to this game, I am extremely happy I played it. Mouse/Keyboard controls are pretty decent if you have patch 1. 5 or higher (I am currently on 1. 7. The story line is. just superb, it's the best story line I've ever seen in a game next to Mafia II. The only thing I am scratching my head about is. I have completed the game but I'm only triad level 9, 5 and cop level 7. is there a way to get this to max without restarting?

What are you talking about? It's the best free-roam port I've seen in ages, with a great tweak menu for graphics. I mean FPS Limiter? which game has that in OPTIONS, HD texture pack on/off from the release, awesome lightning and shadows (almost identical to the almighty Frostbite 2, best AA I've seen on a game like this. Playing on the OC'd Dual Core 3, 2 ghz, 6gb ddr2 and 560ti on extreme/high with constant limited 30 fps. Couldn't say the same for GTA4 when it was released, worst port EVER.

Indeed. I totally agree that those were/are issues with the game, but I simply thought it was a bit harsh to say it was one of -the worst PC ports- as they don't break the entire game making it nigh-unplayble. Just look at other recent games like Darksiders 2, London 2012, or Dark Souls to see some undeniably bad PC versions. Those don't even bother with optimizing anything, and in fact, those last two still have console buttons mapped and displayed even when you play with kb/m.

Did my own let's play on this one, I have to say if you buy the complete pack of DLC along with your first booting up of the game - BE PREPARED FOR MENUS. Once you do the second mission or so in the game you'll have unlocked all the DLC costumes and cars. Unfortunately for whatever reason, Squareenix decided to give each costume and car their own pop up once they were unlocked. I sat through maybe a full minute of pop ups - that's going a bit overboard

Ok, there's over the top blood added for visual flair but other than that the game depicts realistic looking humans in a realistic environment, and the fighting moves are also pretty realistic (effects of broken limbs notwithstanding)
That there are players who make worse comments doesn't excuse these.
No offense meant to LGR. I usually enjoy his videos and his reviews are quite informative.

Dear Clint, -
Thanks for making videos (especially for The Sims 3. There all so funny and creative. i was wandering if you'll ever do an LGR plays/review Half life 2 with Garry's Mod. I've had Half Life 2 for Xbox and I'm getting ready to get it for PC and get Gary's mod. it looks fun with the ability to express your imagination. :! -
Thanks Clint

I wish they had more random event police stuff to do. I was really didn't like the quicktime stuff they had at the end of the game. It made the final mission not quite perfect but otherwise I found the game very enjoyable.
Your right though, the game MUST be played on a gamepad. It is very messed up on a mouse and keyboard.

Game is damn pretty looking and has a neat style to it, the only bit of Sleeping Dogs I've experienced is the content they put out for TF2, a level based around King of the Hill but it looks similar to this visually, a level that stands out considering the difference in styles.

His tattoos are pretty cool =o and -kind of mean-? Try a whole lot of mean xDDD I'm totally going to get this game, though I don't have a controller for my PC, so I'm a bit worried about that. But I'm sure it will be epic still, none the less: )

It's neither comical nor unrealistic. Have you seen the video?
I wouldn't play like this either but this video repelled me. To be fair it wasn'tjust the violence but the manchildy comments compounded on top.
Mostly the violence, though.
