oh good god, that rod beak thing gave me flashbacks to my first ever game of D&D with a terrible dm. I bet the guy who made these games is exactly like him, he thinks he made these super awesome puzzles he wants you to solve, but he REFUSES to give you the slightest inkling of a hint. He's the dm where you find a secret door, so you say I open it, and he goes how. Everyone at the table sighs, and we start running down the list, we push on it, we try and lift it, we slide it right we slide it left, we pull it down, we pull it out. eventually he says the door opens and feels so much more imersed, where as his players have started focusing on talking about the latest smash game, or the pizza in the other room.

Wow, I hadn't seen these older videos, they are great! All that hair, all that beard and I always thought you sound like Duke, but I didn't realize at points you did a great impression. That's what I was thinking. Make him the champion of the land or something, damn king. In kind of logic was employed when he decided to throw him not in a place where his mettle can be truly proven in combat, but in some batshit insane place with mostly thinking?
Answer: There wasn't any damn logic employed. You know why? Because the king couldn't afford it in today's economy.

Ah, the joys of secondhand stuff that comes with mysterious smells. I have a Nintendo DS that smells like somebody dropped it into a bathtub with a bath bomb, and the carrying case still does even after going through the laundry. As well as a Dustbuster that emits the smell of Dr. Pepper when it's running. Go figure.

A flippy is actually a type of game disk! As mentioned in the video, it contains both the IBM PC and Apple II versions on the same disk. One side has the IBM game, the other side has the Apple game. So to play one or the other, you simply flip the disk over to the appropriate side. A -flippy- floppy: )

- phreakindee You should check out a game called Power Star for the Atari 8-bit. It's a graphical text-based adventure game like this one, but it's actually on a cartridge, and has a cool science fiction theme. It isn't very hard to find complete on Ebay, either!

Ive noticed that you've been watching alot of Black Mesa stuff lately. I know its a mod, but are you going to talk about it? I remember how you said that you didn't like the original Half-Life and I figured that mabye Black Mesa got you more interested in it.

Oh dear god. I hated text adventures even way back then. I remember my dad and cousins all going on and on about Zork but I hated it. This coming from a huge life long fan of D&D and classic adventure games. I used to LOVE choose your own adventure books.

I remember getting a copy of the old DOS Hulk and Spider-Man games by Questprobe. They had better graphics, but man were they hard. The game you are talking about and those games makes me think that King's Quest games are easier by comparison

Personally I think you look a lot better now without that long beard, but then I'm a bit biased against beards as a whole due to having to fuss with my own. I hate having to shave. just magically remove all of my beard hair forever, please.
