Gameplay and scattered first impressions commentary on The Good Life. Part slow watercraft simulator, part yuppie Monopoly, part Final Jeopardy, 100% fun (of course) Buy The Good Life on GMG or the Iceberg Shop

I agree. When I saw the trailer for the game a few days ago, I was honestly interested in the game. I expected LGR's video to give me something more than showing that the tutorial is clumsy, characters look creepy and the boats interact badly with other objects / the shore.
So I guess I got something out of the video, but a lot of these small but ambitious projects get really interesting once you get over the initial awkwardness. I liked games like Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter and Chrome.

I understand that not everyone appreciates such videos and that is perfectly fine! I feel there is value in first impressions so I post them.
But it's extremely frustrating when people ignore what I say regarding these. I didn't mean to single you out, it's just I get plenty of such comments every day, many of which are far more volatile than yours, and it gets old explaining the difference between -review- and -plays-. Especially when it's made clear in the description and the video itself.

Watchingggg-
In all honesty I do not understand what I was just gazing upon except the fact it made me laugh. It's probably the fault of no tutorial/no show off of the content of the game, they kinda seem to plop you in the middle of the 'paradise' and sprinkle numbers on it. But hey. it's in paradise. Maybe. Perhaps. (my idea of paradise would have less clipping and creepy eyed people though)
Great vid though XD

: D - well, nice clear water and water effects, can't see the point in having such a slow boat though, the people could have been better designed and had a better AI, etc. I think the makers wanted something so laid back rather than action packed based on what was in the video though. I guess that there's a lot more to the game than we saw though, so can't say too much more about it really.

Just out of curiosity in terms of editing, your commentary here is live, right? So how did you know exactly how much space to leave for the Jeopardy song and what to say in response to Alex Trebec's clip? Or did you have like a Jeopardy soundboard handy while you were recording? :P

Hahahahahaha the mission you had perform was to take that crappy banana boat you have to - Rosetta Stone- according to the text that disappears with 1. 3 seconds after it appears. The ironic thing is that you actually saw it on the lame ass map! Hahahahhahaha

What's interesting (in a totally not interesting way; ) ) is how the -Bug Eyed Guy- looks exactly like a Final Jeopardy Contestant after they've finished scribbling their answer, the music hasn't stopped, and the camera is on them WAAAY too long.

At 14: 49 Dat mission failure doh. Still funny. On a related note: THOSE EYES WILL SEE INTO YOUR SOUL. THEY MIGHT ALSO SEE THROUGH TIME. The time-tests were inconclusive, so your guess is as good as mine.

Sounds pretty nice-if you're ever thinking about moving back to the tropics, I live in Hilo, Hawai'i and it's a pretty small town (especially since it's a state and not a separate country.
