Is the ninth expansion pack for TS3 worth buying? What college activities, majors, and new things are included? Find out in this snarky, opinionated review!

my gaming laptop that I spent about $2000 on worked fine with all previous expansions working totally fine. until I got University Life. I am not 100% sure but I think they changed how Sims walk in this expansion to be more realistic? It broke my game so bad I kinda stopped playing. Sims at University would get stuck going though doors for hours of game time just because 17 other nps were trying to use the same door. Trying to get to class would mean leaving your home or dorm HOURS early because actions like walking down stairs or using the toilet would take 1/2 an hour of game time. The worst was graduation where the entire graduation broke because so many Sims had to go to the ceremony and, again, use just one door. bumping into each other endlessly. My Sims would be so tired/hungry/need to pee so often I couldn't ever enjoy the extra stuff. Class scheduled was so tight I NEVER wanted to do anything but get my Sims to class on time. Later when the game was changed so you to turn on or off the different expansions to improve performance I was not happy that I had to choose just 'some' expansions to run and I always wonder why I spent so much serious $$$ on a game that can't really work properly with ALL the content. All this time later and I have a much better gaming desktop, I am afraid to active and try University Life because it might break my Sims 3 again.

i know this is 5 years later, but the degree is actually worth it, the first time i played university life i did a legacy challlenge and had my founder marry someone that was in the 9th rank of the journalism career, when he finally reached rank 10 he was earning 1100 simoleons per day, once i sent his daughter to college and made her get her degree, she was making that amount per day in as low as level 4 of her profession, when she finally reached level 8 she was making those 1200 simoleons per work hour, and that was such a surprise, the -legacy- ended up being rich by the third generation thanks to a single sim going to college and marrying one of her college mates, i always imagined her dad saying -oh yeah, she makes in an hour what i make in a whole day- and being equally envious and proud of her.

While I enjoy TS2 over TS3 or 4, Even I have to admit 3 is more enjoyable gameplay wise and TS3 had it-s own crazy ass bugs and glitches too
I-d ask why it-s so hard for EA to take the best of the first three generations and combine them into the 4th gen but then I remember it-s EA, and pride and care in their work doesn-t mean squat if the money ain-t good enough for them -
Maybe we-ll get lucky and they-ll do that with 5 by taking the best of all 4 generations and putting it in 5, but frankly I think it might be time to let The Sims go enjoy it-s retirement on that Island Paradise.

I think a cool option would be to forge your degree. It costs only a small amount of the price, and you get the benefits, however as your career increases your chances of getting caught increase as well. If you get caught you-re fired and lose all career progress. Also the better your logic skill the less of a chance to get caught, and you can also forge it for other sims if your logic skill is high enough.
But hey this pack is still really good! They just don-t make them like they used to: /

I played Sims 3 University Life a bit last summer-my game funked up and one of my characters would always use the streaking run cycle for everything. Through the house, when exercising. Every movement on foot entailed whooping and waving their hands in the air while going from point A to point B. (They we-re fully clothed too. I can-t remember if the streaking function still worked after the glitch)

It actually kind of takes forever to get a degree in this expansion, I came home with 30 credits after what seemed a lifetime n had to go back for the other 18 towards my communication degree, the hardest part is keeping ur schedule straight n getting to classes on time, the social group thing (jocks, nerds etc) seemed king of silly, but I hadn't yet explored it much honestly

If anyone doesn't know how to make a plantsim:
First get a mysterious seed or whatever its called
Second have 5 skill points in science
Third experiment on the mysterious seed
Fourth if ur lucky you get the forbidden fruit
Five you need to be level 5 (or 7) to plant it. Frick.
Six wait 3 days and pull it out! Now you have your own baby plantsim congrats

Sims 2 university was the BEST, I remember gettin- lots of random teens from the town to the one dorm and playing there for hours never even gettin out of the dorm, sims 3 university was way more boring and it had only one town.
I really can-t wait to see how (or if) they-ll do it in sims 4 but I really doubt that it-ll be better then sims 2

I've now realized how courageous I was for trying to play this game in a 32Bits pc. This expansion literally had almost no frames and it always crashed but I managed to play it for about 4-hours in a row at the time. To be honest this is one of The Sims' franchise best expansion, the University expansion for 2 is kinda repetitive.

Wait a minute. University life was released 1st of March in 2013. and next year the sims 4 came.
And since university life came for the sims 4 November 2019 (5 years after release) does that mean we can get a tease of the sims 5 soon? :OOO
(this is just a theory please keep ur mean comments to ur self: ) )
