Holy crap, The Sims 4! Here's all the information that's out there on announcement day, such as it is. Plus my own slightly snarky commentary and opinion

with the new cartoony graphics it shows they're getting more indepth on gameplay finally like they did with the sims 2. unlike LGR here i actually love the supernaturals and life states alot and i wish they have more content with it. maybe what a cool consept could be for the ghosts and death. maybe electrocution when your sim is fixing the tv when he/she dies his ghost is still in the position and then sees his body on the ground and is shocked and then grim comes. Id also like more bringing back features from the old games. Going in and out of cars etc. Also i hope they do the vacation ep better this time like they did in the sims vacation and bon voyage because the sims world adventures you had to do stuff and vacation was suppose to be a break.

You do realize that for the game to have what you want, you would to have a $200+ processor and a graphics card made for COD right? And, in order for you to even install the game, it would take over 2 hours and have to be on 2-3 disks? The game would also take more then a year to make and organize, so instead of coming out next year, it wouldnt be till 2015 or 2016. The Sims is not GTA, it is a life simulator and not meant for beating hookers and killing old women.

by now everybody has the base game from the release and all the expansions cracked. Not including me of course. I would never do such a thing. I wonder how many more expansions the engine can handle before we have sims3 all over again. I still believe that they stripped the sims3 engine to the point that it could handle the new graphics and now slowly put everything back where it belongs and the frames go to 10 again.

I wonder if the Sims 4 will take place 25 years after The Sims 2 or 25 years before The Sims 3? Or will it be a revamp of The Sims 1's setting? Either way, it will be interesting to see what the new Neighborhood 1 / Pleasantview / Sunset Valley will look like.
. and now that I listed the previous names, I'm beginning to think the name changes to the area are some sort of running gag. Huh. o_o;

As someone who plays sims 3 casually, the thing i hate most about sims 4 was that soon as Into The Future was released, everyone in the modding community promptly gave up with sims 3 and went to sims 4. I know that Generic Future wasn't the best, but come on, it's robots, sci-fi and future! You could come up with literally anything, and it would of fitted into it to some degree.

If you've ever played the app version of the Sims (Sims freeplay, the design of this game looks really similar. For example, the cartoony sims and also the title is very similar to that of sims freeplay. I'm hoping to hell gameplay is different because personally I don't like sims freeplay. Great video, looking forward to the release of Sims 4!

well the sims is a game that's made to represent real life. more or less. Plus, I think it's very weird that people keep saying -no one will be forced to buy it- because that's not the point. The point is we had hoped that Sims 4 would be better than the previous franchises, and they disappointed us (at least in terms of graphics.

Okay, I hope they add a pizza hut, McDonald, burger king etc, and we can go in the schools. Kidnappers. Murder, jail hotels, apartments, neighborhoods, party stuff. Like real life that's how it should be. And the new born babies we can had clothes, go shopping for clothes and stuff like that.

I don't think it's that necessary since they're just making it stick true to the series. Fixing those cartoony skins is really very easy. Just download one online: D I had problems with Sims 2's low resolution cartoony skin and managed to get really realistic skins online and now it's just perfect

They're most likely not adding anything we want as far as realism at all, such as getting drunk, fast food places, height sliders, jail, etc. That plus them reverting to the old cartoony look is just -. -. If I do end up playing i'm most likely going to wait till a few expansion packs come out.
