Gameplay and overview of the first stuff pack for The Sims 4. What are the new items and clothes? Are chocolate fountains worth the asking price? Questions, answers, snark!

I'd just like to remind people that the Sims 3 Store charged people about $6 for the chocolate fountain alone (afaik with no option to serve stuff like punch either) and clothing items and hairstyles were often $1 each.
For $10, for about 40 CAS items (the main draw of the pack) and a handful of furniture items, which as I've already said, one of them costed $6 in the previous game, this pack is actually ok in terms of value, if you like this sort of stuff of course.
If we can continue to get more stuff packs (and those -game packs- or whatever they were called, like the camping one) that have new functions that cannot be done otherwise (not expansions, unless said function is shared with one of those niche fantasy expansions) then I think we will have a pretty good future for The Sims DLC. Also, with the smaller packs, but also slashed price tags, it means people can pick and choose what they want better without filling their catalogs with as much crap they don't want

I love watching your Sims videos, I think my favorite is your 2 hour Sims 2 video. I've talked to a lot of people about this stuff pack no one was happy with it. Personally I only bought it because of Custom Content. I really hope that they are gonna start putting more effort into 4. I don't understand what happened between 3 and 4 but it's like maybe new people are in charge or something. Anyway thanks for the review = )

My reason for buying this stuff pack was literally;
-B-: -Feeling compelled to get it simply because it's the first stuff pack for a game. -
I didn't care much for the furniture it brought, mainly because they're so fancy and made for parties that I never have a reason to use them in game-play. I do like most of the clothes and hairstyles it brings though.

They need to make a seasons pack and an animal pack like Sims 2 and Sims 3. Possibly a University pack as well. That's just my opinion. It'll make things so much better in Sims 4. But, as you've stated in other videos that I've watched, Sims 4 still needs other packs and expansions and what not they really need to be added.

for a lot of these packs id expect it to cost a fiver cz theres fk all in it. It adds sod all to make the sims more fun and tbh sims 3 is more fun. They need to bring out new stuff things we havent seen in game or something that will make us jump out of our seats and think YES I NEED THAT! until then its still going to stay as meh

Well, at least it's only $10. Even so, I've never purchased a Stuff Pack in the past, so I'll be hard pressed to get one now. I mean, maybe, since The Sims 4 is more or less designed around paying for additional content continuously, but whatever. Maybe if there is ever an -Origin Sale-. fat chance of that, though.

You cracked me up at the beginning of this video when you said -. offers luxurious party type items- (or something close. You totally sounded like Frank Zappa. :D And yes, I'm new to Sims 4 as of 5 weeks ago. Thanks for the info, I'll be choosing something else to DL from origin for the game tonight.

lol and this is $10. More like a $5 thing. I think EA prices for their discount prices (like a 50% off sale) x2. At the same time, this is kinda neat for players who are looking to set up something a little more. well, luxurious. So far this is still a better pricing than Sims 3 gouging.

. Still not regretting the decision to just stick with Sims 3. well okay I had alittle Life State envy when you showed the aliens could actually shapeshift in your Get To Work review but then I remembered -Holy Shit I hate this art style- and lo I was cured.

If money was no object (as it isn't, for me) are ALL of these packs worth adding at once? Or are there other, non-monetary down sides to them? Increased loading times, more useless junk to sort through, subtle changes to the base game?
