I still have this on cd. The cd has the voices which I love. I've tried copying the cd on to my computer to play with the voices (as the cd has skipping voices) but it doesn't work (I can still play but no voices: (. I think my dad threw the box away shortly after buying, which is a shame. Someone put the game on to Android but it's got many bugs.
I came across an online version some time ago where you can download it and play on dos box, but I can't remember where.

I FULLY remembered that this game will trigger bank collapse if you have lots of savings, it will crash the stock market if you invest, and if you withdraw a bit much, you are pretty much guaranteed to be robbed. The only way to stock up on cash is to buy T-bills if you have a bit of cash/saving.
If you do that, bank never crashes, and stock market never really does anything. I find that kinda annoying, because it only happen when you saves or invests.

I had a teacher back in elementary school who would let everyone in her class play this game whenever we got our work done early. Funnily enough, out of all the crayon-munching rugrats, I was the one who most often succeeded at becoming wealthy and having the best job available in the game before anyone else could beat me to it. Fun times those were. -

You can cheat in Jones by ripping off the pawnshop when inflation is high. The game is a no-brainer after you quickly discover the best route to success. If however you can get others to play it with the same skill, the race can get interesting as long as you make prohibitive rules on the pawnshop glitch.

The song that plays at 5: 15 vaguely reminds me of the game setup theme from Wily and Light's Rockboard for the Famicom, itself being a Megaman themed board-game styled game. What's funny is that Jones predates it by three years, so maybe there was a slight inspiration for the music.

You can either buy all the expansions and crap for Sims 2/3, or wait until Sims 4 comes out. Personally, I liked starting with the base and waiting for the expansions, since I would fully explore the features of each expansion and then, when I got bored, I'd get the next one.

hah, i can remember playing this game, but i can not understand how i had it, or why i played it. Them days when a game was a game, as opposed to now when all you do is to complain to the internets that the game did not furfill your every needs.

I remember playing this on my old 486 computer. I always had fun playing this. How can you not loose? Jones always beat the crap out of me. I never managed to beat him in normal play (I never play easy settings even since I was a kid.
