Man, Jet Moto 2 and I go back. When I was a young adolescent, my father and I would play Jet Moto all the time. Of course, my dad not being a gamer, he would get trounced every time.
Well, one day he comes home from work holding up a copy of Jet Moto 2 and challenged me to this -brand new- game. We fire up the first track and he barely beats me by, like, a second and a half. I demand a rematch, but he drops the controller, gets up, and retires undefeated from Jet Moto 2. We never played it again.
I would later find out that he'd actually purchased the game without telling me about three weeks earlier, and had stayed up late every night practicing the game just so he could finally beat me at the game just one time. And I still almost ruined it for him.

Watching these makes me sad. The only thrift store within 3 towns of me is a Salvation Army. They used to have a decent enough electronics section that I've found some decent finds in. but it seems like every year, that little corner shrinks and is on its way to becoming nothing but clothing and furniture. They even used to have some cool toys. I got a few Spawn figures there once, now it's nothing but baby toys.

FYI, those Bourne and Transformers HD DVDs were free with the purchase of an HD DVD player at Best Buy (IIRC. FUN FACT: shortly after CES 2008 when the format was officially abandoned by the major studios in favor of Blu-ray exclusively, BB gave everyone who bought an HD DVD player a $50 gift card and you didn-t have to return it. Because of that, I actually broke even after I sold the player on eBay.

So one year I begged my grandma to buy me that Punch! Home Design Platinum for Christmas because I wanted to be an architect (before I found out how much math was involved. But it turns out the Sims games were much nicer to work with! I still have that software somewhere. :)

Just going through some of these older videos, My closest Goodwill is in Shelby, NC and its ALWAYS sucked! I past few times I went in there no electronics worth anything and they sell used opened products like lotions, hair products, half used etc. They're out of there mind!

I just got a ps vita recently and I really like it: . It-s way more ergonomic than my 3ds and has a lot of jrpgs and visual novels. anyways, it-s hard to find physical copies of vita games so you just gave me the idea to check secondhand stores for these types of games

Honestly, that Kyocera cassette deck (at 5: 27) is far from crappy. Generally audio gear with wood sides was/is quite nice. I'd have snagged that without even thinking. Looks like a D-811, which was quite a respectable playback deck in its day.

Oh man I drooled a little with that ActRaiser there.
I wish we had thrift stores in my country but we don't have culture for that and the few retro games sellers we have are incredibly expensive under the excuse -it's for collectors-.
