Review of the final downloadable lot for The Sims 3: Last Venue of Amore. What all does it include? Is it worth the cash? How awkward is making love on a gondola? Huge thanks to catloverplayer for gifting this lot!

The gondola bugs out so much, I got this thing using leftover sim points and it was such a waste lmao. I had some sims that got stuck riding the gondola for about two days. I made the mistake of clicking the 'Ride with. ' option a few too many times while trying to wait for it to respond and so they were stuck riding it over and over again while their bladder, hygiene, hunger and energy needs plummetted. Apparently they were still having fun and being social though. You can't exit the thing until the ride is finished and once they got out, you can't cancel the queued objective so you essentially just have to watch them slowly commit suicide which was both extremely morbid and amusing as hell. The quality of the lot itself left a lot to be desired though, I've built better stuff and have seen better through CC so y'know.

My god, I wish EA would just listen to what you have to say! $19 is way too expensive for just 1 lot. As I've been saying forever now, why would someone pay $19 for a simple lot or set of clothes when you could buy an entire stuff pack or expansion for that almost same amount of money? What you said at the end, -A bite sized appetizer should never cost as much as a full sized meal- really sums up what I've been trying to say over time now lol. The Sims 3 Store sets should never be any more than $5, and worlds shouldn't even exceed $10.

wished sims4 wouldn't suck, then i could just say -screw sims3- but i'm afraid that sims4 will suck.
it's almost certain.
there must be even more than just missing content, maybe the game isn't even functional. otherwise there would be a press release by now.
i mean come on 1 week till release and we didn't see much content yet.
they want us to be blind. till release. blind enough to buy it.
god why does EA own all the good franchises. they destroy everything. i'll just go kill myself. this misery has to end D:

the only good thing the sims 3 store has done was make that 'complete your set' discount so now i got a whole bunch of stuff for cheap. plus i spent like an hour a day sometime ago just getting those free simpoints. also i got discounts on a bunch of stuff because they used to have offers where you get two items out of a set to see if you liked it or not. So after some time i was able to get that motherf---ing $72 -2012 Compilation- for free and cheating the system never felt so good.

Yet one more reason The Sims 2 is a superior game. Sims 2 ended with a mini expansion disguised as a stuff pack. Imagine my joy finding out that Mansion and Garden Stuff added actual gameplay content (new idle animations, sliding down stair banisters, a new roof highttool so you don't have to fiddle with that roofslopeangle cheat, a code that gives you a smaller grid, etc. Sims 3 ends with a crappy cheap ass, insanely priced venue that looks cool but has nothing else going for it.

i'm like 4 years late to this but. they clearly want us to pirate their stuff. imagine we'd buy all the expansion and stuff packs and want all the added gameplay content like this lot or the rollercoasters. we'd spend like $1000. look, the thing is, if a lot like this was about $3 a lot more people would buy it and everyone would be so happy with it, like -ooohhh look this is so pretty, not fully detailed in the interior but it's so aesthetically pleasing on the outside! -

EA's logic on pricing is insulting. A lot or venue is half the price of a full expansion pack that comes with multiple lots and venues and sometimes a world. How does that make sense to them? I never bought one store item ever and I'm quite proud but they really need to reevaluate their pricing. I'm sure the Sims 4 will follow suite which sucks if it does. But you said it best with your appetizer line LGR and that's the truth!

This just makes me wonder if they even tried. I mean, sure, like pointed out in the video it does look nice. But the houses are pretty bare inside and no resturants or stores? Really? And while I like the idea of the gondolas, how can they not have someone steering them? While it's kind of hilarious watching Duke steering it, it should've been an option to have your sim in control of it and not a requirement.

People have shit on terrible overpriced things in Sims 4 like My First Pet stuff and they aren't wrong but let's never forget that the entirety of TS3 store was highway robbery. $19 for one venue is far more ridiculous than that S4 stuff pack.
Too much praise for this game. the masses have definitely forgotten that Sims 3 had some obscene pricing on the most underwhelming things.

i always download store sets ilegally in package format and then i use store fixes and such to get them to work, i ain't giving EA 19 bucks for a soddy lot
i do pay for all my games though, and if a game has well-priced DLC i might grab some of that too, but TS3 store has been so consistently overpriced and buggy so i just stayed away from it and the TS3 site in general
