Join me as I go out thrifting, in search of games and interesting goods at various discount shops! I make sick beats Anna2: Lol. Ive always thought techies adorable. so I went and married one. lol. I wouldnt trade him for any model or the typicals. Yeah. sometimes my head spins when he talks his languahe. but I love how passionate he is when it comes to collecting vintage computing and other computer related items. he sparked my interest in it as well. I love watching your vids. so much history. humor. info. fun and you constantly remind me of why my hubby still has my heart. Ty. I have always loved retro gaming in general. but now. im totally enjoying restorations of vtg computers with my hubby and more. I even started a little retro PC collection of my own. haha. I love your work and content. Pls keep the vids coming!

I don't usually find much at thrift stores around here, but lately, I've found a few cool things. An iPaq PDA, which is kind of fun. Found a TI-83, as well.
But, the most exciting thing was an HP 200LX, which is a tiny handheld computer running DOS 5. 0, with CGA graphics. Monochrome, but it's compatible with tons of old DOS games. And, via a PCMCIA adapter, you can use certain lower capacity compact flash cards (and with a driver some somewhat higher capacity cards, meaning it's fairly simple to transfer games to it. The card just appears as the A drive.

Also funny story when I was a kid my uncle bet me 100 dollars that I couldn't keep quiet through a movie (that movie being Congo) and I won that bet quite easily, when it came time to pay up we went to compusa and I wanted to buy games but he said he would only pay if it were educational so I ended up buying 4 of the dorling kindersley discs. Man the memories this jogged up.

7: 53 That cable went to a 1989 Apple Portrait Display. THat cable, in particular, is very useful since it can connect directly into your computer without the need for a special graphics card. They value at around $30 and I would have gotten it since most Portrait Displays don't come with those cables and $2 is an amazing deal.

I'm so jealous LGR, I live in Pgh, PA where our thrift stores & Goodwills are completely devoid of anything interesting. I frequently stop at them in search of old mechanical KBs & electronics yet I am always greeted with just old donated clothing. :( Makes me wonder if they are shipping all the good stuff down south?

Word to the wise. Goodwill can be chocked full of fruit and goodies. But you're putting Goodwill down sometime. You may even find an old piece that you can work with. Like you've done. Live your life. I'm working much harder than you in mine. But, gotta tell ya, you do, or have done a great job in the past!

Oh man as soon as I saw that Technics logo I knew that was the one. I would-ve been so upset if you let that stay there. Technics last forever and that-s a complete steal. Love all you vids dude but I-m binging the thrift ones now and loving it. Thank you so much! And super envious!

I have the Zoo Tycoon 2 Zookeeper collection, which has the original and the African Adventure and Endangered Species expansions, and separately the marine mania expansion and extinct animals expansion. Great game, I love walking around my exhibits and dropping people in the lion pen

LGR it never ceases to amaze me how many gadgets and games you find in your local thrift stores! We have Value Village thrift stores primarily here in Nova Scotia & whenever I'm there they have VERY little like that. Great videos. Been watching you for years.

If you (or someone) happens across this comment, did you get your SSX to run? I got a copy about 6 months ago and I can't get my PS2 to run it. I've been told that I'm getting issues because the PS2 discs back then was on CD-rom, as opposed to DVD.
