Quarter pushers, coin dozers, medal games, 2p machines, whatever you call em. They're everywhere on iOS and Android! But are there any that come close to the real thing? Taking a look at: Coin Dozer, The Real Coin Pusher, Ultimate Sparkling Coins, Coin Pusher Gold, and Cash Dozer USD

Short answer - No. Go to an arcade, laundromat, or whatever around ya still has these machines (i've even seen em in gas stations on my travels) and do it in real life. The obsession with digitizing effin everything has got to stop. I get simulating expensive or unachievable things. big ol digital aquariums, digital pot farms (here's lookin at you Ganja Farmer for DOS, digital mobs, racing sims where you can 'own' rare and expensive cars, building fancy digital homes in the Sims etc but this? There's no real reward, it's a straight up time waster and who dah hell ain't got a bag of change what to go toss into a real coin dozer and hope for the best? Way more rewarding and engaging of an essperience, even if ya lose. it's just all the more incentive to grab another bag of change and make back what you lost. ahh gambling without guilt, amazin

They used to have these coin pusher machines at the Texas State Fair's Midway, however, they disappeared probably like 5-10 years ago and I really miss them. I could honestly spend all day on them. I don't know why they took them out - maybe some weird law against gambling, even though they weren't pushing out real money, only tokens and cheap little prizes. So, I would love to find a place I can play them IRL around here, or a mobile alternative. I'll try out some you suggested and browse through the comments here and see if anyone has some better experiences with other games.
Since this video was made in 2015 I would love to see an updated video if any new mobile games have gotten better.

theres actually an arcade simulator with a surprisingly GOOD virtual coin pusher game (two, actually)
on steam. it's called -coin game. - it's a lot of fun. you arent spending any real cash (aside from the 9 dollars upfront to buy the whole simulator, the physics are good, decently challenging yet also a decent chance of a jackpot, no ads, and best of all, no dropoffs. among a lot of other well-made machines you could see at any chuck e. cheese or arcade.
should totally do a review on it, LGR.

I enjoyed Coin Dozer for quite a while.
The limited coins helped me not to waste to much time on it (it is kind of pointless in the end. Prizes and power ups even created the opportunity to play with a minimum of strategy.
It was also really easy to cheat (on a rooted phone, because the progress was saved in a simple xml-file, open for manipulating.
But as you said: at some point I couldn't spend the coins as far as I gained them. That's the main reason I stopped, TBH.

The only thing I'd advise people is that beware of free games. Sometimes then end up not being so free after all (if you know what I mean. advertisements and the harvesting of people's data. IN fact, I'd rather just buy one of the coin pusher games for $200 than download a bunch of apps. At least that way you get the real deal (an actual game to physically play. Of course, it's not that great if you're the type that travels a lot.

I have -NEVER- seen the point of mobile coin dozers or whatever you might want to call them. Same goes for mobile slot machines. They give out humongous rewards, but none of those rewards ever materialise (obviously. I mean. It all stays _virtual_, so it basically takes away the most interesting thing from their real-life counterparts: the pay-out is actually that - a pay-out.

Someone should make a Score Mode version of this game where you have a limited amount of coins and the goal is to try and drop as many coins as you can to reach a high score.
Afterwards you play again to keep trying to beat your high score.
The prizes in the machine give you extra points and dropping multiple coins increases the points.

I dont play on those things, its a sure Thing to go broke. Most of the plases Are nasty anyway, with bad food choices anyway. But Some of the plases have televisions on the walls, with other how to lose your mone games on it. It know this because Some of My forsed companions Are that kind of gamers. Nasty plases, often locaded under street levels.

What's actually the sense of playing a coin pusher alone? I mean, on the long run you would get all the coins back out that you threw in. That's it.
I mean, the real fun of messing with a coin pusher at a carnival is the idea of just throwing in one coin and getting back several spent by people playing before you who were less lucky.

I would like to hear more about the coin pusher machines you designed and where exactly you designed them. Is that a model for in-game level design? Is that a working machine concept? Is it a visual representation only? This is unlikely, but do you have a custom physical coin machine? So many questions.
