Christmas is upon us! And so are crappy games, apparently. This is a free game from Digital Dialect and ugh Tricob1974: I believe the game's story is that the milk and cookies Santa had on Christmas Eve were tainted somehow, it resulted in him having some sort of bizarre, nonsensical dream, and this game represents that dream. As for the purpose of giving this game a public release, it was probably done purely to promote the company itself, much like the DOS game -Tube- made by other hands. However, I found that the Tube 3-level demo was far better than Santa Slayer was ever said to be. With that in mind, nothing LGR says here is really surprising to me (though it was still an enjoyable video.

. huh. Odd that it came from an actual(-ish) company rather than some random person.
A thing about the sound effects is that it also uses a few from Earthworm Jim, although that one kinda makes sense as Digital Dialect's DOS port of Battle Arena Toshinden included Jim as a bonus character (essentially a reskin of Rungo, and both his -hurt- noise and death scream (which is just a stock scream, but ehh) are there on Santa Slayer.
. also, Jim's inclusion is probably why I prefer the DOS port, even if its slower than the PS1 original.

MAN Your narrator voice is amazing. Came for the Sims3 and stayed for Everything else inclusive. Keep it up LGR,
And I'm waiting for a Sims 4 Chairs expansionpack, developed by Maxis, Published by EA and personally directed by LGR, for all your Sim4ing needs.
Chairs, Chairs and MORE CHAIRS!

You better be ready to Show No Mercy, because Hell Awaits those who fail to stop Santa's quest to Reign In Blood over the entire world as he sends helpless souls South Of Heaven. You will have to face cold during the winter Seasons In The Abyss as Divine Intervention. uh.
I give up. That's as far as I could get.

Santa Slayer isn't the developers playing around in an engine, it is essentially a tech demo for the engine as it was made by Digital Dialect themselves. Was later used in Adrenix indeed, which is a pretty neat Descentlike.
Doesn't really make Santa Slayer any better, but it sorta explains why it exists.

I have to ask Clint, do you ever get messages from the developers of old DOS games on your videos on them? With how many videos you have, and all the views they have, you'd have think at least somebody would have seen their game on your show.

I remember playing this as a kid - it was pre installed in a second hand laptop. I didn't have internet and played this for hours trying to discover hidden secrets. I think there was something invisible attacking you but I forget.

Hahaah! I have actually played this game! (More than once to be honest) Found it on some shareware CD when I was a kid, at the time I was so easily impressed by pretty much anything in 3D, hahah, awesome! Love your video's: )

I completely forgot about this game until now! I played this in jr. high school over a decade ago, but the version I played had simple gore where the Santas and elves would explode into limbs and a head when they died.

The title screen gave me the impression that you-d play as the real Santa killing imposter Santas - mall Santas, dads dressing up to surprise their kids, Salvation Army bell-ringers, etc.
Someone make that.
