I don't know if I can justify the expense of a VR system until they implement widescreen aspect ratio (you know, the way our eyes actually see, and the system that's been standard on TVs, phones, and PCs since for the last 15 years. The square ratio of current systems is a mind boggling deal breaker for me.

Also, not sure if you saw it or not, but Make recently posted up an interview with some of the VALVe guys talking about the prototypes they built. Very interesting watch if you haven't seen it yet.

I managed to try out a VIVE someone I know owns, but unfortunately all I've been able to do with it is The Lab and the Budget Cuts demo. Not that those aren't both amazing. I keep feeling slightly weird while walking around after using it for a while.

Clint you probably won't see this comment since it's an old video. You referenced Equilibrium. Did you know that Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand Grenades has the M9 Cleric pistols from said movie in game now? You can train in gun-kata for real!

I find it pretty dumb, that oculus kickstarted the modern VR scene, but everybody seems to hate them now for some reason. I got a CV1 Rift and I have to say it's amazing. The image quality is better on it than on the vive as well.

VR tech has moved forwards a lot since the 1990s. VR games on the other hand apparently have moved BACKWARDS. Seriously, if this is the new hot shit, then just give me a Magic Carpet remake, and call it a day.

I found my old Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition to day in a box under my desk! I tried to install on my accidentally installed Windows 10. But Windows 10 won't take old CD discs anymore: 'c #makewindowsgreatagain

Dude, go get Windlands on Steam. I played it for 4 hours last night. It's a soaring game with grappling hooks, just. It finally made VR for me after searching for a bit. Trust me.
