I think that in theory, this product looks great, but that in practice many improvements might have to be made. I would be interested to put one of these on my phone for sure, but it feels to me that they didn't go to great lengths to test out how it would react with the Switch or how it might impact gameplay. I feel this product might be better reserved for casual gamers that won't mind the different feel of the buttons so much. I wonder if Nintendo will take out some themed consoles in the near future? (Or if they already have)

Been using Toast products on my phones for over 2 years. The product is flawless. Upon first application, they can be a little tacky, but after a couple of weeks of handling, they smooth out and age beautifully. They aren't made for drops and such like rubber/plastic hybrid cases. If you aren't rough on your devices and would like to protect them from normal scratching from everyday usage and want a grippy wooden feel and look, Toast is for you! They have a customer for life in my book!

I just finished watching this and loaded it up again to find the comments. Anyways, I remember during the GameCube era, GameStop sold a similar product made by a company called GamerSkins that had a bubble-like outer texture to it. My GameCube had the Twilight Princess one it. I have no idea if they still make modern ones or not. I know Decal Girl did unofficial ones at one point because either Microsoft or Sony tried to sue them into oblivion.

It bothered me as well that the grain didn't match. I did notice the grain does match to the switch. After looking at it it looks great on the dock, also would be great on the center of the controller but not on the two controller pieces. Gives just enough wood without overdoing it, and you wouldn't have the buttons being hard to press. I am really interested in this company now though. Gotta see if they have one of these for the OnePlus phones.

Sad that it's not a better product, because the Switch looks AMAZING with it. I AM interested in some of their other products, since I too love woodgrain. Sadly, now that I saw a Switch with a woodgrain cober, I really want one for me that is a bit more comfortable, at least.
Nice video, as usual, BTW. Thanks.

Clint, you should do a review of memory - Its requirements, how over the years the price has dropped vs quantity increased, and limits, such as 640k, why 286 and 386SX systems' limit are 16MB, etc. That kind of technical thing excites me, or rather, gives me real wood. :D

I have the toast surface pro cover and i love it. It's been on my pro 5 since last year and it's held up great. I can understand how it might not be that good for the switch but for other devices I wood (see what I did there lol) 100 percent recommend.

Would have done the dock and the joycons, but not the tablet portion. I think that would look best. Maybe not Walnut though. I'm thinking a lightly stained oak on the blue joycons or unstained red oak on the red joycons with matching dock.

It looks amazing. I'd be worry about portable heat. When I've been lazy and just laid on the couch and played it like a big PSP, the back gets pretty warm. I'm not sure how much this material retains that heat.

If the switch wasn't so damn glitchy then I would probably own one myself, but no, that isn't happening any time soon until they fix their console bugs. At least I've heard that they aren't fixed yet.
