I've played most of the Super Solvers games back in the day which they were all great, but Gizmos & Gadgets has always easily been my favorite! I still have the 1995 Windows CD-ROM version that I got for my 9th birthday back in 1995. I'm 35 now & I still play it occasionally & is still just as fun as it was back in the day! I got it to work on my modern computer using the Virtual Box app which if you don't know can run older versions of Windows to play older games which is awesome. I have Windows 3. 1 installed on it & works flawlessly.

So glad to see this on here, and so many other people with fond memories of it. I think this is the only edutainment game that I ever actually wanted. It was installed on my elementary school's computers circa '97-'00. My family were quite early adopters of PCs and internet and almost all of our -computer lab- instruction was redundant to me, so I would speed through my work as quick as possible to play this game. then get pissed that I usually couldn't get very far before we left the lab because of the slow movement.

I played this in elementary school almost everyday after i finished my lunch. I was not smart enough to know how to save so i would try to speed run the game to no avail, until I met my computer friend in 5th grade and he tought me how to burn cd's and i copied the game from school and took it home and beat it in 1 long self-fulfilling weekend. The puzzles are annoying after a while but i always loved how badly you whooped Monty if you got all of the best parts.

god! I felt a fain memory earlier this day and decided to look into a game review to travel down memory lane. I must have been about 7 or 8 years old when I played this game in Elementary School. I still remember Mrs. Willibee like it was yesterday. Thank you for tis bit of nostalgia

For a while, the only games my brothers and I could play on the family PC were learning games because our dad didn't want us to play -weird shit- like RPGs and Warcraft. Gizmos and Gadgets was one of the few learning games that gave us hope during this dark age.

We had this bad boy on the windows 98 computers in my grade 1 class back in 2001
I-d show up early at school for breakfast club and eat with my boys,
Then we-d go off to class and we-d SPRINT to the computers to play this game when we got out free time in class

I remember I used to toggle the simple machines puzzles off until I'd finished everything else because they were so easy and one of my favorites. I suffered through the hellish magnet puzzle just to be able to have an easier time with the puzzling at zone 5

Bit of trivia: _The Learning Company_ was founded by Warren Robinett, which some of you may know by name, but if not he's the guy who is credited with creating one of the very first easter eggs in a game: _Adventure_ for the Atari 2600 in 1979.

For edutainment, keep an eye out for the Technoquest series of science edutainment floppy discs. If you can get them with the magazine that they came with, even better. Fun times messing around with those on my 3. 11 machine as a kid!

I was all about Jumpstart as a kid. Jumpstart first grade was awesome with its collectible pogs and stuff
But holy crap this one brought back some memories, namely with the main character. The game I recall was a point n click
