Unboxing and testing more of these weird old mice with a Windows 98 PC! Checking out a Viagra NASCAR mouse, a dual-wheeled '4D' mouse, and a piece of ammunition that very much requires plugging in. All from the early 2000s and all kinds of silly Oddware.

A4 Tech products were everywhere here (Europe) - having used Logitech or Microsoft mice, most would pretty much hate them. Quality was abysmal in comparison. Buggy, low quality and quirky. And yeah. marketing didn't exactly always match what you got.
Curious that it seemed to work fine for you (had a couple of IR-mice of theirs and the pointer getting stuck, temporarily or permanently, lacking precision, spazzing out etc. etc. was really commonplace) and that it tickled your fancy. :)

Around 1998-2000, I thought that soon all mice will have two scroll wheels. It was just SO useful when making stuff in CorelDRAW! The wheel was saving a lot of time when creating details in images, especially when drawing precise Bezier curves - you could draw at high amplification, and easily scroll the screen for the next part of the curve.
I had several 2-scroll A4Tech mouses over the years; only moved on after I stopped creating graphics.

The fact they call two kinds of 2D, 4D infuriates me! Even though the functionality actually seems great! That s not how units work. At least when you said it I mostly heard it as A440, heh. Small blessings.
Who is that Bullet Mouse character ripping-off/pastiching? He looks so familiar. I thought it was Danger Mouse with the D turned to a B but he looks totally different. So IDK who I m thinking of.

I had this 4D mouse but I don't remember it being wireless. I remember a4tech being an okayish brand if you wanted cheap and relatively good quality hardware. I've been using Bloody keyboard and mouse before and they were ok if you don't mind edgy g4m3r! 1! design. I actually replaced skates on my Corsair M65 for aluminium ones from a Bloody mouse because they glide so bloody smooth!

A4 Tech have actually been quite good at mice. My dad had a PC shop some 18 years ago and this was one of the best brands. They also make speakers, keyboards, all sorts of things. We actually had a 4 wheel mouse back then, but didn't use the second one much.
Anyway, they gave the viagra mouse away for free? I'm not surprised, must have been a really hard sell.

A lubricated Viagra car mouse that keeps trying to rise up when you put your hand on it while trying to use it? That is hysterical! Back in the day I never really understood what made a 4D mouse, 4D. The only one I ever had was a Packard Bell 3D/4D mouse but it only had one scroll wheel. I have never actually seen a mouse with two scroll wheels in person.

The 4D mouse was the mouse of choice at the cyber cafe I went when I was a kid. We used to throw of the aim of some other kids that were playing Counter-Strike with a spare mouse from behind their chairs since it can pickup the infrared from afar

I had one of these great 4D Mice that had a ball instead of the Mousewheel. The idea was not bad but it also meant that you could never really scroll either straight up/down or straight sideways. I still ended up using it for quite some time.

Actually have that A4tech mouse, which I did use for a few years as my main mouse, before i got a USB Microsoft Intellimouse 1. 1, which I still use. The remote receiver is more useful when I stopped using it to test remote control receivers.

A4 Tech is also quite a familiar brand for run-of-the-mill computer peripherals here in Jakarta around late 90 and early 2000 too, but not as popular as Genius or Logitech for mouse. They also made Multimedia Keyboards and Gaming Headphones too.

I've used a mouse with two scrollwheels for many years, never used the second one, but maybe some people would use it on excel sheets or something?
Many mice today have scrollwheels that can be pushed to either side to scroll sideways.

I smiled when I saw your Roland speakers and the startup windows sound I remember getting mine it was the most awesome day back then. Are you looking for old semi gaming pc parts not worth much kinda stuck with them motherboards and what not

I have a Genious NetMouse Pro. It is from around 1997 or 98. It has a serial plug and has two buttons instead of the wheel. The mouse has a middle button for my surprise, but it is not on the middle, it is on the left side.

U didn't welcome us to a lgr thing. I feel jipped. You need to make a lazy review mouse you know one where you hit the right mouse button and it goes straight to Commander Keen and if you hit the left it goes into Doom
