Liam is not the real problem here. I’m not a huge fan of him, but I also don’t have anything against him. The real problem is that they planted hope in long time fans of the book and games, that they gonna have an adaptation of a book. They planted a hope in these fans with Henry Cavill devotion to the books and games, because of him being a huge fan also, which is something that is always good to hear, that the actor playing the part actually knows what is it about and cares and loves it dearly. But then firstly they stepped on that hope crushed it, by completely destroying the story, cut or change the best parts of the story, bringing many new nonexistent and often nonsensical things that feels off and wrong, even if you try to look at the show as not The Witcher but something else. Secondly loosing Henry who at least keeps us believing that there is still someone who is trying to talk some sense into them to be faithful to the book. Now we were left with no hope for any of that, and we now know Liam will just play what they tell him to play without really caring about them destroying it. It’s not his fault, he’s just doing the job he’s paid for as well as he is able to, but that’s just not enough now in this case because we really had a chance, to have the real Witcher show and they totally blew it, that can’t be erased. They shouldn’t call it The Witcher and cast Henry in the first place if they wanted their own story so different from the real Witcher story.

They should have found ciri by episode 5. I feel like season 5 is gonna be rushed. She doesn't even have her power back yet. Or hasn't even been found. At this rate they should extend it to season 6 before they end the show. I fear this is gonna be a game of thrones rushed ending. I actually enjoyed the new geralt. He played the character well and he did a really good job!

Poor Liam. He got scammed and now everyone is killing him and his career with comments and reviews.
At least he looks physically fit for the role, but the fact that he doesn't know much about the role. nor has he read the book.
I blame his manager for putting him in this storm.

Like I said, Netflix could care less. They already got the fans, and if it doesn't do well, they are moving on. If they wanted Henry back, trust me, they would have got him. It's the same thing with Stranger Things. They know they got the fans, so you get what you're going to get.

I stopped watch The Witcher half way through Season 2, when it was clear the writers and show runners were NOT staying true to the source materials. Like, at all. That's why Cavill left. I don't blame Liam. He's in an impossible situation and has some mighty big shoes to fill.

we support cavill not because we hate liam but because of what he did while on the witcher. he fought to keep it true to the lore and when the writers refused he left. thats why season 4 is villainized and also why its bad. its not about geralt season 4 is about yennefer

The show is called THE WITCHER but I can't think of anything that he did that made him relevant! Half the show he was in chains, hurt, knocked out or talking about his feelings! This was the most femenine version of the witcher I've seen as of yet!

the fact they just straight up dumped the episodes out instead of releasing them each week sums up how much they give a f about the series. Probably normal practice but seems like a way to keep people from thinking too much about each episode.

I don't disagree with the analysis, but I think you're missing the biggest flaw in all of this which is GRIT. Henry Cavill had grit in his voice, in his mannerisms, and even in his appearance whereas Liam seems softer, especially in his tone.

At 4: 09 he's more like uncombed Legolas, apologies to Orlando Bloom. In other scenes, he looks like he spends too much time at the hairdresser. The voice is ridiculous, there is none of the raspiness that both Cavil and Doug Cockle had.

No No No. This is wrong, the voice, not Geralt. Broad shoulders, small waist. not Geralt. Fighting style. not Geralt. We just have to admit Henry Cavill is a specimen of a man. It's impossible to follow in his leather boots.

The solution was simple though. Ask a source close to the books to review the scripts and call Liam another name than Geralt, there are many Witchers. The show could have still been called Witcher and avoid some controversy.

Really good video, i fully agree with you. I am a big henry cavill fan myself and i think it was henry’s best acting performance till date but liam is doing a pretty good job too. And he definitely is pulling it off

Totally disagree that Liam did a good job. He can't act the main character at all, even trees overacted him. In action scenes he was decent, but not in all others. He is a nice guy but can't give a depth to his character.

Liam wasn’t bad it was the far from accurate following of the books or even video game and just the writers suck and the chemistry between yen and Garalt with Liam sucked but asa whole he wasn’t bad.

I only watched this season for Freya Allan (ciri), he single handedly ruined the show, it will definitely get cancelled or they will have to pay a lot of money to bring back Henry Cavill

The show was pretty good I didn't mind liam. I just want to finish the season and watch the show and enjoy. Liam does sound more like geralt from the game. Liam seem abit like thor lol

He neither has the bad-ass, chiseled looks nor the voice. I don’t like him as Geralt at all! HUGE downgrade from Henry Cavill - though he honestly never could be properly replaced!

I think he managed it surprisingly well, better than i would have expexted. However, for me the show's atmosphere shifted so dramatically, it's like watching a different show.
