The only thing that I've seen and agree with on this list is Thirteen Reasons Why. I know a few twelve year olds that I volunteered with who watched it and ended up getting ideas. If Netflix came up with a more secure way of accessing it that would be fine. That way young kids won't get their hands on it when their parents aren't watching. I know everyone says parent's are the ones to be monitoring however often times the kids that are most susceptible and vulnerable to influences like it are kids who have rough home lives with parents who aren't around as much as they should be. (Either mentally or physically)

Controversial for whom? Oversensitive people who seek out reasons to be offended so they can signal to us how moral they are? No. Those aren't real people.
Life is controversial. People who look for shit to be offended about are the worst kinds of people. There are always going to be things that may offend our sensibilities; but there is a class of people who have taken the view that If I don't like it, nobody should be able to see this!
It's like religious censorship, except it is almost always coming from the left.

how can these storytellers be so arrogant as to not rely on consultants with the widely misunderstood conditions they are making entertainment about.
Atypical for instance is clearly well-intentioned, and it's alright. at least the stereotyping cliches aren't so offensive to Me. But I can imagine how much Better a show like this could be with more nuanced representation, maybe even guided by some people who actual Had an autistic experience of high school.

Netflix is all about Netflix these days.
They mostly promote and make Netflix originals than anything else.
If Netflix could keep the FULL SERIES of a show that they didn't make, and keep it forever, (or at least longer than a 1 day to a month) then that's controversy.
And give us 50 episodes for season 2 of aggretsuko! I want a binge for real! Enough with the 10 per year Crap. If we like the show, then make moe!

Come on! Come on. If we had no Internet, people would never know if a voice actor for a black character is black, white or green.
Isn't it racism too, to reject someone's work just because the color of her skin, or because her skin doesn't fit her character's?

I loved Nymphomaniac and other shows that try to handle the idea of keeping it real. Now I wanna watch these shows because of the controversy. Means there's something there that others may be too afraid to touch on, sometimes including important messages or creative risks you otherwise won't experience anywhere else.
