Addressing the other issues you brought up becaise you didn't watch the movie. Manta was his grandfathers nickname. He was a frogman during WW2 came home and segregation and the country didn't care, so he took what he learned and used it against his country, so he started a group of international pirates. So black Manta is the grandson and born into a pirate organization, raised in it by his father. Or came to these pirates to steal the sub and cause the false flag attack that would unite the warriors of Dolph Lungrins people. Then Orm later went to pay them and brought the Atlantis tech so he would take out Arthur on the surface.

You didn't really watch the movie apparently. Firstly it's not magic, it was an experimental technology power supply probably something to do with the box that Steppenwolf was after. hello. Then they tried to get more power from it and this caused a genetic mutation in the people of Atlantis.
The high born probably people descendant from those closest to the epicenter have some powers and can breathe air and water.
The trident gave Arthur the power over all the creatures of the sea at once, he could talk to them individually but with the super trident he became linked to them and they to him. So it was clearly defined unless you're brain dead.

One question for me was: where was Superman? We know this movie exist in the same universe as Superman and we know Superman has the wherewithal to hear, see and sense danger and conflict anywhere on earth (anywhere that is too deep or hidden for man is just another spot on the map for Superman. So how could that epic final confrontation took place and he was nowhere to be found? They couldve at least added a cameo of him arriving when its already over or something, just anything to keep with the consistency of this characters and their powers.

They definitely teased Skartaris The Hidden Kingdom which looked really beautiful. The trench living at Skartaris was perfect and Atlan's trident being there was a nice turning point. Skartaris of course was in Justice League Unlimited Chaos at the Earth's core. Arthur having telepathic ability as he can communicate is no surprise and the trident for sure amplified his telepathic ability summoning every see creature to help him. The Kingdom of the Deserters was where Atlan went into self imposed exiled.

I'm not joking or taking a jab with the dceu mess here, but speaking about in universe lore, supposedly this thing can't be hidden from him.
Moreover, do these sea dwellers even know about the kryptonians?

Ok but the movie clearly showed that Atlans trident amplified Aquamans telepathy so he could communicate with all the marine life that was in the final showdown, they made it pretty clear when he hit a Thundercats and held the trident with BOTH hands, and focused his energy to this feat. His eyes even glowed brighter when he was using the trident power.

I legit envision a seven kingdoms tattoo fashioned like the statues in the film. Aquaman in the middle with the kings trident, Mera for xebel, the crab guy for the brine, a trench creature, the fisherman king just don't know what the deserters or the lost kingdom leaders would look like. Each having a unique trident and background any suggestions?

I was surprised that DCEU FINALLY made another great movie aside from Wonder Woman! Now, if ONLY they can keep it rolling bring back Ben Affleck and make a great Batman movie as well as a great Superman movie with the theme song from the Christopher Reeves era and all. And for crying out loud, PLEASE make a decent Superman suit for once!

You never find out what destroyed the city? Where you not paying attention? They literally spelled it out that they were doing experiments beyond the norm that caused a major explosion causing the city to breakup and fall into the sea. That's also the time the same explosion caused those underwater to be able to breathe.
