The Most Expensive Items In American Pickers History glenn: These two idiots are nothing but two thieves that go around taking advantage of the elderly given them money for their items and low-balling them they know the items are worth a lot more money and they know these elderly people don't know the price of it so they offered him a little bit of money and they make a hell of a profit taking advantage of the elderly both of them belong in jail because all they're doing is going around robbing these elderly people for their antiques if you watch their episodes when they come across a pic where the person is 80 years old all they loved it because they know they're going to get antiques that the elderly people don't know the prices for and they could take advantage of them they shouldn't even have this program on all it does is show two thieves going around robbing people the elderly

You know what, I searched for season 15 ep 1 to make this comment, but its probably the only episode not on YouTube.
Anyway, it was called A colonel of Truth. About this guy called the colonel' who was eccentric and didn't want anyone knowing who he was, so his partner showed the guys around the pick. They kept trying to guess who the colonel was. Then they saw the bonnie and clyde car. The boys ask if it's for sale and the guy says the car means so much to the colonel. but he's not here. In other words, for the right price, they could buy the car. It was at that moment I realized, the guy showing them around was the colonel. Mike and Frank never caught on even though the guy kept hinting around.
I can only stand about 5 episodes until I have to quit for a few months. Then 5 more. LOL!

One of the most expensive items that they found, that you didn't mention, was a 1st time comic book of Spider Man, the seller wanted 10, 000, they called a comic book store and found out it was worth 60, 000 and possibly more, they didn't buy it, but hooked the seller up with the man at the comic book store. I see alot of things they pass by that I know are worth tons of cash, but if they don't like something, they don't even look at it. I knew that the comic book was worth 50, 000 +, I would have snagged it up as soon as the seller asked for 10, 000.

You can only watch this show every once in a while. It's a sometimes good show but gets monotonous in the items they are looking for. Plus the pan away to the one on one with just yhe camera makes it seem a bit fake. But that's American tv, I am not allowed to watch tv with my wife (American shows 99%) as I have a habit of shouting at the tv or telling how improbable/impossible scenarios are. But mainly just knowing how things will end or actors reactions, catch phrase or similar. I hate tv so much.

I thank the most Expensive Item was when Frank piad 50. 000. 00 for a can of Harley Davidson 1914 motor oil when the too guy got the can for free in the 1970's they toke frank when that can could have sold for a lot less But they know frank was the guy at the End of the Rainbow.

Been revealed the show is BS and they are often bidding on their own items. The producer carries items in his van so when the place is pre-scouted by the production crew if there is no suitable items found they plant and pre arrange how it goes down on camera.

Obviously, the show must pickup the difference of what the seller is asking and what the chisel them down too. Otherwise why would any seasoned picker settle for 50 or 75 cents on a dollar, when they know they can get more?

Imagine all those poor old folks, middle of nowhere. Don't even have two nickels to rub together. Out in the old shed, their collection of dusty, empty old oil cans. Little do they know, they're sitting on a goldmine.
