Stars Who Were Snubbed From The Oscars 'In Memoriam' Segment GhostCity: NOPE! Haven't watched that boreing stuck up thingie in YEARS!
There are so many under paid folks ( firemen/women. police. EMTS) that risk their lives for others and they get paid crap. while 'stars' get paid millions for some movie or recording or whatever.
The teachers, doctors/ nurses, and farmers, ranchers that can't make ends meet, but a 'star' or 'sports folks' get millions.
See, take a look at my 20th car. just cost me only 500, 000.
Yeah right! Remember J. Roberts stating she had a tv at home & she'll talk as long as she likes. That's when they're trying to bribe the 'stars' to limit the thank yousssss bit.

No, it was not a snub to not include Aretha Franklin. She was a singer I want to be remembered as such regardless of scattered acting appearances here and there. Reminds me of 10 years ago when Farrah Fawcett was not included in the memoriam despite appearing in over 30 Films but Michael Jackson was included even though he had made only a grand total of 1 film. the Wiz (no, This Is It doesn't count because it was a documentary and Men in Black 2 was just a cameo. Jackson that you should not have been included over faucet because she was an actress and he was not he was a musician and a singer

So busy shoveling fake diversity they forgot to recognize ARETHEA FRANKLIN a black woman with talent and grace who had so much heart in what she did. As well as Al Mathews who played Sgt Apone from Aliens which was one of my favorite movies growing up. Then they go without adding other amazing talent, that made up such amazing fimlographys like dick Miller. I could go on through all the actors here but what's the point. Commercialism is disgusting and negates actual quality, this is just pathetic.

It's a shame they snubbed John Mahoney. Many people don't remember that he had a huge film career where he was often singled out for his charismatic performances in commercially/critically successful movies. Not to mention that Frasier was one of the most successful tv shows of all time. The snub isn't shocking considering his most famous role was as a right-wing police officer who was always politically incorrect. Welcome to the Liberal awards

The biggest snub for me is Brian Murray, the voice of John Silver in Disney's underrated animated masterpiece, Treasure Planet. His amazing vocal performance is one of the many reasons why Treasure Planet deserves to be insanely popular and universally well-loved by the entire world. But alas, they're just trying to forget that the Disney film exists as much as possible as always all because it flopped at the box-office.

the ceremony is rank rotten now anyway i used to love it in the 90s the production value was great and the emotional videos and in memoriam brought tears to your eyes, now theyd rather have yoyo ma playing through it just to say they had yoyo ma playing through it lost all the emotion especially as now they seem to have cut out the applause or asked the audience not to applaude during it, dog doody show

I think in regard to Carol Channing. The in memorium was for those who passed in 2018 so she would be recognized at the next ceremony. I think with John Mahoney and Aretha Franklin they were more known for their TV and music career respectively and I am sure they were honored at the Emmy awards and the Grammy awards.

Yep, if it doesn't fit in with their latest dose of engineered slop, they don't want to know. Now if any of those mentioned had been in a star is born, well forget about it, they'd have been first on the list. 3 things I hate, disney corp, ioc & these mutts. The most shameless power/money grubbers on the planet.

I never watch the Oscars. Not including the Queen of Soul, after those same kinds of jerks made a mockery of her memorial service just shows how in-their-own-little-world these small-minded people are. Good thing they love to stand in front of mirrors, because that's gonna be the extent of their audience.
