Why Palpatine In The Rise Of Skywalker Could Be Possible ronny: I have a theory about the rise of skywalker's movie synopsis. Here it comes:
At the end of the last star wars we see a young force user manipulate a broom, as possible teaser for the sequal.
In rise of skywalker, Kylo ren wants to find and use the emperors corpse, hidden in the trailers death star ruins to aquire palpatine's power of foresight and kill the next generation of force users before they grow up and become a problem.
However. The emperor could foresee the future, but could somehow not foresee darth vader, or skywalkers redemptive betrayal, which was in a sense the rise of skywalker ( a clever rise lord vader pun. Kylo ren will aquire the power of foresight, but will in a sense suffer from the same black spot and repeat the emperors mistake, leading to his downfall.
Note the that both the emperor and kylo ren were once betrayed by a skywalker.
Still traumatizes by luke's betrayal, the event that led Ben Solo to embrace the dark side, Kylo Ren now himself fears the power of young force users, and will now try to do to them what luke skywalker tried to do to him: try to kill them before they become too powerful.

So good the video BUT I think JJs original idea is Snoke being Plagueis (in the force awakens his first scene the music is the same when Palpatine is talking to Anakin about Plagueis and Kylo ren, in the same movie, refers to Snoke as someone Wise and we know wise is Plagueis's nickname.
In short, Palpatine is just a decoy for the real plot twist if JJ maintains his original visuon by using Palpatine in flashbacks revealing Snoke as Plagueis when he thought he killed him.

And I'm confused now. I can longer enjoy these movies do to this confusion. I remember back in the day it was a simple as kill the bad guy. Bad guy dies. I go home feeling good about the movie and life goes on. Now a days I walk out of a movie theater pissed off not knowing what happened. And I'm only 30 damn it!

I don't know why people think a person Sith or Jedi would die with out confirmation. the force it self is life force (essentially. how could a person that can manipulate life force, space, time, matter be dead so easily. Jedi is a b to kill because they don't really die. they just become part of the force.

He's dead. Force-sensitive people felt his death. A clone version of him doesn't make him alive. It's just garbage-tier writing to try to salvage something from a trilogy that has no understanding or love of the source material. They slapped Star Wars on it to make it sell but it puts politics before story.

Oh shit guys, The Last Jedi flopped so damned hard we have to go back and undo everything we've said about Rey's parents and bringing back the Emporer. Let's hope fans don't realize how badly we're pandering to them because we suck.
Too late. We've realized. We're still not buying tickets.

Palpatine in this movie is clearly a desperate move trying to save the future of the franchise, if executed well it may be efective, if not. well. might as well resell the rights cause no one or at least no true fan is going to watch another Disney star wars again.

Back in 1999, I thought (Darth) Sidious was a clone of Palpatine and would assume the latter's identity. Otherwise, just how dumb were the Jedi, that a Sith had been operating right underneath their noses for those many years?

(To the tune of 'Rasputin')
Pa-Pa-Palpatine,
Back for yet another scene,
He's been around since Episode One,
Pa-Pa-Palpatine,
Though the empire didn't win,
Are we surprised he aint't really gone?
