Game of Thrones Season 8:
01. Meera Reed and Ghost should be at Godtree defending Bran Stark.
02. Bran Stark should be using his mind power to find a way to defeat the Night King.
03. Bran Stark or Arya should somehow got Nimeria and her wolves to join the battle.
04. Melisandre should somehow got her fellow red witches to join the battle.
05. Jamie should have a small platoon of loyal Lannister soldiers stole some Wildfire from Cercei to go north with him.
05. Melisandre should help drawing the Lightbringer beyond being a human lighter, exhausting her magic and eventually age her to death.
06: Dothraki should be flanking the dead to support the Unsullied.
07. Tyrion and Sam should have figure out how to manufacture more Wildfire to use for the battle.
08: Catapults should be behind the Unsullied and throwing Wildfire.
09. Every main fighters and the unsullied should have shield with dragonglass spikes on it to increase survival rate.
10: Valyrian Steel wielders, Jamie, Brienne, Jorah, and Arya. should have individual highlights of slaying White Walker elites.
11. One touch of dragonglass should be able to dispatch zombie dragon Viserion. Just throw one at it will do instead of yelling.
12: Dragon fire, Valyrian steel should damage the Night King, but not enough to kill him. Think T1000 until he got stabbed by Azor Ahai with Lightbringer.
13. Being touched by the Night King should have consequence, like severe froze bite. Yes Arya is dead and we let Beric sacrifices himself to resurrect her.

Too dark? I thought it was perfect. It added to the chaos and suspense. LotR 3 battle was well lit and it looked fake AF. It also made the fire effects pop more.
Night King died to Arya? She is arguably the most bad ass of anyone else on the show. GoT has always been about twists and that's why Jon didn't get his 1v1.
Dothraki got wiped out in 5 minutes? They were well known for being some of the fiercest combatants and feared by many. Killing them all the way they did added some real OH hit moments and was done perfectly to add even more suspense. Especially with the fire effects burning out one by one.
The White Walkers didn't do a damn thing but stay back and hide? Do you really think the Night King would have them in the vanguard when they are the reason for the thousands of wights? The Night King played a tactical game and kept them back until he thought it was clear. The White Walkers would have died from any number of attacks from dragon glass easily.
I thought it was one of the most epic episodes of any tv show ever and I've watched it 3x already. I feel bad for the GoT team who worked their asses off in super cold weather every night for two months just to be bashed by a bunch of idiots who never understood what the series was about. It's a political war drama with some action and horror sprinkled in. It's not the Walking Dead.

And probably a suggestion by his Feminist wife, Amanda Peet: 2) HBO is in talks to sell the theme park licensing rights for GOT to Disney or Universal Studios (or plans to be) who will create a GOT land in 3-5 yrs. They (Disney or Universal) insisted on the young girl hero slant to the final season to boost interest from families (i. e. Star Wars) and to continue to push the Hollywood female empowerment trend down everyone's throats.

I think for those that wanted the LONG NIGHT filmed during the day would have been more pleased with the cast wearing pajamas to match what they were wearing. The dark is what made the episode work and so did the armor. I think to make a perfect episode HBO should have had alternate battles and endings that you somehow select before the show starts.
After the first assault was wiped out in seconds and the defenders watched in horror as all the flaming swords disappeared and then total darkness again is something you can't do during good lighting.
HBO and the cast did the best job I have ever seen. Every episode so far has at one time or another has had me in tears. For the haters at home hate in silence.

I have heard the excuse that it was the bitstream that HBO etc were offering but I have seen this problem before on GoT when watching previous series on blu-ray on a 4K TV. The episode when John is beyond the wall rescuing Bran etc from the village where they offer the newborn to the dead. The scenes in the wood are unwatchable. Also when Arya is in Braavos training to be a nameless killer. Some of the scenes inside the temple are also unwatchable due to being pitch black so it is not just the bitstream. It is filmed this way. Maybe the producers and cinematographer are blind so it doesn't matter to them. One thing for sure is, if they are blind, it would explain how they totally lost the plot in season 8.

The REAL reason it was set at night (and therefore, dark) was simply because it involved near 100% scenes in CGI so it would've been too much of an ask to have all these looking perfect (which is what these same whinging idiots would've expected) and so the only way around avoiding this was to film and set at night so the easier, less convincing special effects of the white walkers etc wouldn't have been noticed and complained about; so it was either that or the darkness fairweather fans would have moaned about. So do what any viewer with half a brain did and turn up your bloody T. V. brightness. anybody who says that doesn't work is lying.

Even though I am as pissed as the next guy about arya killing the night king, I dont thing that it was about feminism as everybody says, I think D&D just did it to subvert expextations, its just shock factor, that's there biggest card right now, they are more focused in the spectacle and generating a reaction to a bar audience, shocking indeed to see but absurd in internal logic, notice how everything in 8x3 was designed as individual shocking moments with no cohesion or reason, because we needed to be shocked every second, and not to think too deeply in how it doesn't make sense
