George R. R. Martin Breaks His Silence On GoT Finale Domain: I just finish season 7 and all I can say was, the whole thing was terrible. Every show had his own taste, but game of throne had a bad taste for viewer, it made you to abandon the show in every episode, but we still watch for the justice of the characters. Some of them are satisfied but most of them are just it(like he had to die.
I never read the book and I cant afford to read it. I imagine the book will be comepletely different from the show. The show never give what we want, and it take 9 years of our time to ruin it, not for me bacause I was wating for the end, so I can see Justice for Ned Stark. But they forget him. They used his name to lie the show.
And we all know the last season was a bad luck, even the actors were shocked by the script, they cant save it because it was not their job, their job was to take order and get it done. Maybe not for us but for the actors and the crews who worked hard for the show deserved a great show, and they done it. But it was a lot more precious than that.
As for the end of this comment, we watch this movies, series, so we can learn something from it. But game of thrones never give it to you. It denied your judgement. And it won.
Sorry for bad english,
There are so many unecessary dead in the show, I hate this show
I watch this show 9 years ago, now I finished it. And I hate my self so much for making me watch this.

Season 8 was devastating & such a dissapointment. I expected so much, because thats what we were always given. Turning Dany into a mad monster will never be forgivable in my eyes. Ever. I cant even watch it anymore. Game of Thrones turned to ashes by D & B Weiss. Lets hope that Martin doesnt follow the same path. Ill never watch it again. I cant actually, because I know how it sadly & pathetically ends. Just basically a story of USING Daenerys to defeat the Night King and Cersei. So Bran and Sansa get to be Queen and king by doing absolutely nothing. Neither one deserved it. Season 8 - I dont blame the actors-=I adore them all. But the writers turned GOT to ashes, not just Kings Landing. What a great message to send to the world. It doesnt matter what you do, youll just end up like your evil mad father. I hope dumb and dumber never work again. And Ill just add that they only brutally murdered Rhaegal the way they did, because they are sickos. Even George R. R. Martin admitted that they are even more sadistic in their writing than he is. None of Dannys dragons were just CGI creations. They were real living breathing characters, like Ghost and every other character in GOT. And FYI - dont ever piss off a Welsh girl, when it comes to slaughtering dragons. I know I might sound like an over emotional lunatic- but I really dont give a shit anymore.

I lost all respect of this guy a long time ago, the GoT series started on 2011, the year he published his latest book, but after 8 years, when the writers of the show running out of story to adapt, this fat old man still hasn't release the new book, resulted in them had to continue the story with their own imagination and fanfiction, and he has the audacity to talk shit on Twitter about this show.
Can you imagine if you're tasked to finish Harry Potter the Deathly Hallows Part 2 after Part 1? With all plot be resolved and all characters have a satisfying conclusion, and coming up with a cohesive ending that fits the lore and the style? Maybe he can argue he has writer block, but nothing can justify him other than laziness after 5 years, he has the money to do research, travels, and therapy, but 8 years later he still hasn't got jackshit

I don't know, I have watched only until season 4 and followed the story vaguely to this point. But reviewing does leave me off with a feeling of dissapointment. Even sad stories end well, and this one didn't. I think what everyone is saying. It was rushed. It felt like an action movie these last seasons, how fast paced it became. Deffinetly lost something crucial after season 4 I'd say.

There are 6 total Yes and No in George's answer. I think he was relating to the final 6 episodes of season 8.
The final yes means Bran will be king
The second to final answer was No. Meaning the way Danaeryus burn king's landing will be different from the series. Or I think how jamie/Cersei and hound/mountain will be different.
That's my guess to his cryptic response.

Once you open a book of white magic, you are bound to it, heart and soul. It's too late to go back. You prematurely kill it off, then you shall surely die in one fashion or another afterwards. Even the mightiest of dragons eventually will die, they just want to prolong our brief lives. Is that such a travesty? I'm sure George R R Martin already knows this.

The show is over, the books unfinished
Time invested in reading those books
Now wasted, been awaiting the last books
For so long now I've personally lost
Interest, time to move on to other things.
Bye George won't be buying the books.
Also very crappy, better finish this quick
Illogical no sense ending to 8.
Total let down.

Do you know what something with interesting characters and ever-shifting plot lines is called? Its called a Soap Opera. So sorry that Martin and D&D ruined your favorite Soap Opera, the author with laziness and greed, D&D with incompetence. But really, its kind of sad that you expected a Shakespeare ending from this mess.

George, you failed to finish your work, you were unprofessional, then you expected Benioff and Weiss to pull Ten Seasons out of their ass. Youre obviously a big Idiot. Well, D&D looked at your garbage genocide ending and realized it was all going south. So they squeezed out the Season Eight Crap and ran away.

George Martin wanted GOT to be the new Walking Dead, he just wanted 13 seasons of shitty filler crap up on the screen to make himself rich, and he didnt even want to write it. Benioff and Weiss tried to wrap it up before the show got as worthless as The Walking Dead, but they didnt quite make it.
