The Batman: Matt Reeves Addresses Robert Pattinson's Casting Cr8ive: All press is good press if people are going to watch him anyway. opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one and they're usually full of sh! t. how is it suddenly everyone is freaking movie expert! Batman is based on characteristics of a Vampire Bat and if they did watch Twilight they would know he fed off of criminals who deserved death all while making most women around the world swoon. he also could fight with super strength and was always exhalted as the most skillfull guy in the room such as a quidditch star. personally I would cite Rob's roles and the performances in Cosmopolis and Remember Me as memorable & nuanced. btw I called Christian Bale as the next Batman after watching him in American Psycho and Equilibrium! Nolan's vision fit and Reeves is a Kickass director who could blend a Big Daddy and Hit Girl into the new Detective of the DC universe. There's a reason Robert as a mature franchise actor with movie star looks, who worked with the best auteurs is being given a shot and creating buzz as the new caped crusader

At the moment it has nothing to do with whos cast as Batman it has to do with warner bros screwing over directors and the scripts they go with. Bale was great because the story was great, affleck was an awesome choice however the script messed his chance to pull a Downey jr and be Batman for 10 years, Pattinson say what you will the guy is hit or miss for me great actor but is he Batman? Time will tell. My personal opinion warner bros and dc are flushing these movies down the toilet they have no idea what they are doing the panicked because marvel and Disney have destroyed them

I think Rober Pattinson definitely has the acting ability for the roll. However, Ive never seen him with a muscular build, which is now a more iconic image of Batman. Since Christian Bale beefed up the roll from previous actors, and Ben Affleck followed suit, Im not sure if Pattinson will be able to deliver the expected look without CGI or other makeup help.

DC is doing it again! They're putting another sissy boy into an overstuffed batman costume because he trends well with female audiences.
DC's primary audience (88%) is men. More specifically, men between the ages of 18 - 44. I challenge you to find a demographic with less respect for Robert Pattenson than men between the ages of 18-44.

Nothing but a bunch of people behind a keyboard that think they know better than a director. How about stop acting like children and allow a director fulfill his vision. And if it the movie sucks then you can get behind your little keyboard and complain then. People now a days feel like they have privileges to everything. The world we live in.

He comes from playing a dark character which Batman is a dark character. Like Christian Bale who came from playing dark characters like American Psycho, he was the best Batman. Same criticism was on Ledger and look how that turned out, the best Joker. I say he can totally do it. Wanna see a good flick he's in? Check out Good Time.

I think Affleck could have really nailed his role but like every other gig in Hollywood, it's going to be up to the writers. I hope they use this opportunity to relaunch the entire universe properly. I'd like to see a green lantern, flash cameo in this film using a penguin/Riddler team up. No Catwoman pleeeeease!

It's not just acting. If you're going to play a superhero, you need to look the part, like Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, etc. I think Batman deserves a full CGI movie with Kevin Conroy as the voice. Also, Bruce Wayne is not blond. Val Kilmer never dyed his hair for the role.

So many sad and easily influenced morons in the comment. Just because some people were negative about other roles by other actors. It doesn't mean this scenario could in any way be compared to all other castings where there's some tiny bit of doubt.

This can't get more cringe. Justifying this cast just because heath ledger had a few romantic movies is just terrible. But since we're at it why don't we cast Tom hardy as a Princess in Frozen 2? Pretty much the same logic as with Rob
