Okay this needs to stop. I of course thought the same thing when I saw this video. Who the heck doesn't understand the ending of the mist? This gave you another point of view. You just focus on the tragic ending and move on. This explained the underlined message of hope and I liked that. I kinda am on edge though because I feel like the biker had hope but he ended up dying. I guess because of the rope he showed he didn't have that much hope so that's why he died.

Watched this for the first time over the weekend, it's always been on my radar but for some reason thought it would probably be an average horror with virtually no A list actors? How wrong I was always been a Frank Darabont fan, it bombed at the box office, god knows why, it's a masterpiece, am guessing the long running time put people off, it does take an awful lot of time to get going, but then this is a Frank Darabont movie, 3 hours is the norm

Pterodactyls and wasps? What film were you watching? Looper seems to have a knack with stating the painfully damn obvious, on top of very poor breakdowns of movies, and the content that drives them. This was an excellently done movie with a sledgehammer ending, leaving a myriad of subtle questions in it's wake. Our main character got over his loss and moved on to become a Belter detective embroiled in inter-solar system shenanigans.

It reminds me of the current affair of politics right now! For a minute there I thought we were watching CNN! When the end came in this movie, I almost screamed out loud! I read this story in one of Kings short stories many years ago, and I can honestly say this was the first story I read that actually scared me a little. Books don't normally do that to me, but this was a scary story!

Yes, this film is the most searing allegory of human behavior. Nuff said. A timeless look into the madness that is mankinds own inevitable destruction. Scathing and brutal, and a must see for psychology students. Our weakness IS our fatal conclusion. Frank Darabont tweeked King's novella, and made it into a masterpiece

i have to say. I thought it was a great movie but it's not something I can watch over and over cuz I really hate bugs. especially if they are giant sized! I want to know how the military took care of the giant size elephant one. Don't think a flamethrower would do anything to it

The real ending is explained/alluded to in book 3 of the dark tower series when blaine the mono stops to recharge his batteries. The things in the mist were never contained and the world powers nuked themselves trying to stop them. Really he probably did them a favor.

You're right Looper, the ending of the movie sucks big time. Dude knew the risks the moment he & the others left in that car, he simply shriveled at the end, while he had no way of knowing for SURE, there was no possible escape.
